That's why it works
4/5

I really like how easy it is to set up and how well it works. Unless you hold it right next to the dash or the door panels, you will not notice the difference. The color is very close but not exactly the same as the interior dark grey. Was a little miffed when I got the thing though, as I noticed a slight malfunction only a couple of days after installing it It has a color throughout the entire top part of the plastic. Even though the deal was a great deal, there was a noticeable difference in my truck's appearance. Before you install the part, make sure it's in good condition.

You will never need to go to a dealer ever I was extremely pleased when this console arrived in flawless condition (see picture), not a scratch or tear anywhere
5/5

I found it to be exactly as described, when it came to installation well (I am a female), and I found it very easy. I simply examined my old one closely whilst removing it, then placed everything according to my observations. It does not come with instructions, but there is an easy to follow video tutorial on YouTube to assist you in replacing it. In less than 10 minutes, the process was completed. As red is my favorite color, my daughter added red vinyl and red tape to the box, both purchased on Amazon. We were able to smooth out the air bubbles pretty well, but there are still some visible ones. Despite ordering this item from a dealership, the cost was considerably less than ordering from Amazon, and after receiving the item, I will ALWAYS check Amazon first! All in all, I would recommend THIS seller and this product without hesitation! 100 STARS!.

I have a few minor things to say
3/5

br>2002 Chevy Avalanche 1500 It looks nice, fits nice, and works equally well. For installation, as others have said, you need to watch an online video. There are no instructions or literature included with There are some instructional videos that show how to take the console apart and do this repair on the What I don't know is With the console installed, there is plenty of access to the information. Orient the metal U so you don't get shocked by the reverberations The bracket follows. Parts will line up with it if it has a direction. Here are some minor things to keep in mind An over-sized foam pad covers the latches on the front. A contoured pad, rather than an open-ended pad, is used by the original You can describe it as cellular As it is, the pad on this part looks thick, not contoured, and has the potential to shed some foam particles when it is used. By using the 2-mil-thick pad, I was able to replicate the original on the new part Adhesive tape that has two sides. Unlike the old part, this part has a depression on the underside, which is presumably for storing maps. The old part has an elastic band to hold the maps in place, but the new part lacks this feature. Two slots are missing from the new part to pass the band, so you can't transfer it. Who still uses maps? To be complete, I'm simply trying to complete my story. Approximately five times as much space would have been required by the original design if addressed. I would have been able to do it easily. There are two metal U-shaped bars There is a latch on each end of the channel to hold it in place. Stress breaks them apart, and they break the weak link. If the manufacturer had changed the mold to have more reinforcements, it would have made the product stronger. Despite not really using this storage, I replaced it as a result of being a little OCD. I also noticed that the outside padding was cracked, so it was a cosmetic fix more than anything else. It would be best to lay down some epoxy on the bracket before installation so that the repair is more durable. One day I will mix up some epoxy for some other project, so I might come back to that.

These minor things aren't insurmountable. It does not make sense to restore a 2000 Chevy truck to its original glory (why would you do that? ), then it is a great buy, and really a great value. If you need to pry the top and bottom of the lid apart, you can use a screwdriver or a bread knife. You will need a hammer to drive in the pivot rod, and you will need something to pry open the lid. Take a look at the video and then get to work. You can do this in 10 minutes, or a little longer if you need to do the foam pad transfer and attach a support to the U-shape.

Don't hesitate to buy this one
5/5

You won't regret it. It is extremely important for me to get the right parts when I buy them. With regards to the console lid, I was really impressed. In addition to the color matching and quality being very good, the picture is also of an exact match. I promise you won't be disappointed if you order this one. It took me less than 15 minutes to install this myself. The only things you need are a flat screwdriver and something to push the pin though. To compare the old and new covers, I have attached pictures of the original that was broken and the new one.

A high level of quality! I am a perfect match for you! It only takes a few minutes to The weaker the springs, the better! This is a simple install, but I don't get why so many people make you think it is complicated
5/5

As a person, I tend to be very mechanical. It took me maybe two minutes to install it, but c'mon people, it's not that hard. I don't understand why you have to take the center console apart. Both seats can be pulled back and then leaning back is enough to create plenty of space. You're upset by the weaker springs, aren't you? I see a plus there! I broke my lid because the OEM springs were too strong and it kept flying open for years until it snapped. Leather looks much better than the cloth covering original lid and is a perfect match with my interior. The price is very low, but the value is wonderful.

It is not the same color as the interior of the truck
3/5

There was one basic problem with this lid, and that This lid didn't match well with the tan/beige color of my truck (2002 Chevy Silverado), but the picture on the listing appeared to match, but the lid itself had too much pink tone and did not match at all. While some may not mind, I would have been driven insane by it. There was also the issue that it could not be easily removed. Because I feared it would break, I did not force I returned it and bought another one from a different seller for these two reasons. It's almost a perfect match to that one. Due to the fact that I never installed the features, I gave them a neutral rating.

Choosing this item as a replacement is a good choice
5/5

Purchasing this for a 1999 Chevy Silverado in beige was seamless and came in a timely manner with quality appearing to be very good. However, the color of the item was not right for me, so I returned it. I did not like the color of this beige truck at all since my 99 Silverado was more of a camel color. As a result of a mistake about the return policy, the seller offered to accommodate me and I will be There is no doubt that I would order this because it looks so sturdy and I think it would be easy to install. This is self-explanatory.

This is great for the low price and is easy to This is amazing! I have been driving around with a messed up center console since my truck (2003 Silverado) was broken into almost a year ago
5/5

I had no idea how easy it could be to replace them. The Redneck Engineering YouTube video was watching for 5 minutes when I bought this, so I snapped them up within five minutes. You can do it very easily. It is possible to replace the lid while it is still in the truck. It is often shown taking out the whole center console, but this is not always You can swap the lid right there in the truck within 5 minutes. The look is the same I have made huge improvements to the interior of my truck.
