Much better than the ones you can find on eBay. Plastic that is thicker, just like the factory.
Make sure to get both of them! Both the handle and the bezel are made of stainless steel. I believe they are available for purchase separately. Usually, the handle snaps and extends too far into the bezel!
I recently purchased this kit, and the adhesive tape for the bezel was included. As a result, I'm assuming that the adhesive tape comes pre-applied to the bezel. I'd recommend returning your kit to Amazon and getting a replacement.
It does not, in fact.

It was very simple to install and was very inexpensive. I'm not sure why it says adhesion, but it could be the sticker on the plastic that secures it to the body. I bought this to replace a broken one on my 2007 GMC 1500 classic. My 3-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter installed it, and I simply replaced it with the old phillips. If you have a higher-end tailgate lock (not included with this), you may need a special screwdriver to remove the "one-way screws," or you could simply file a flathead slot into it.
br>br>I took a star off because I had to slightly bend a piece one of the rods connects to because it was catching the'main' piece when it moved up due to insufficient clearance, preventing it from latching on that side. br>So make sure BOTH sides latch correctly after you install this. br>br>Aside from that, everything else appears to be in order!br>br>Side note: There are no new bolts included.
What you pay for is exactly what you get. I would choose a better product because both clips broke while installing this handle, and I've installed a lot of them and know what I'm doing. The handle itself is fine and should last a long time; I was fortunate in having extra clips to keep the metal rods in place. A low-cost item.
It looks exactly like the doorman I just took apart to put this one together. My 2003 Silverado 3500 has no issues with it. Installing it was a breeze. It only took a 13mm to make it look brand new again, and it took less than 5 minutes. For a good replacement, this is a great price. If it fails once more. For this price, I'll still get another.
Chevy trucks have a reputation for breaking down in this manner. Thank goodness for a low-cost and simple-to-install replacement.
I'm not sure why they make this out of plastic because it gets a lot of use; anyone who owns a truck knows what I'm talking about. The part, on the other hand, fits perfectly and performs well. At first, I was concerned about the adhesive tape, but it has proven to be extremely durable. br>br>I would recommend this part to anyone looking for a replacement.
The cover did not fit properly and was broken during installation. The latch itself functions as expected, but I would not purchase it again.
I was on time. It was the perfect fit. Arrived earlier than expected. A similar product at a local auto parts store costs half as much. Installing it was a breeze.
