That isn't really the problem, but condensation buildup is. Because of the heat generated by the engine block vaporizing the oil, (by design) it condenses in the oil catch can in cold weather particularly, that is why using them in cold weather isn't recommended. It is best to keep the distance between the engine and the vacuum port very short so there is no chance of condensation forming. It's a good idea to be cautious.
Variable depending on how far you travel. Having it checked every 1000 miles is a good idea.
Whether it is oil or gas burning from the crankcase, the mist of oil and gas is caught by this device. As long as the oil and bs aren't in the intake system, the gases can be vented back into the engine.

When they did not return it or report.

This is a fantastic can as far as quality is concerned. The packaging quality of the company This is the fourth one I bought. I recently purchased 2 more duos to add to the 2 that I purchased 4 months ago. For the first two models, the oil was disposed of by unscrewing the cup and a rubber ring was there around it. Added two more cups that came with o'rings, but when I opened them, they fell apart on BOTH the cups! The rings for the hose connectors are useless. The tires are so thin, they kept triggering an engine fault code on my Ford Mustang. A joke is also included with the hose! Then I picked up a fuel hose from Advance Auto and chucked it in the trash. In summary, you need to expect to modify these catch cans heavily.

They will upgrade the hose for this, from what I understand. It is not advisable to use the thinner hose. I installed it without any problems. Despite reports to the contrary, I did not find any shavings inside as these oil cans can sometimes contain them. I liked it a lot because it was During the process of improving the hose, the seller worked with me. The product is very good and I would buy it again without hesitation.

Apparently does what it's supposed to do, but only time will tell how much success it will have. This product received only 4 stars because the hose came with too narrow a diameter for what I needed. It still appeared to be good quality. The fittings are also not to my liking. My truck's breather tube had a small fitting, compared to the fitting on the biggest fitting. Please use anti seize on all threads, because aluminum on aluminum can be difficult to work with. It would be better if the bracket was.

We have found this to be beneficial for removing intake valve carbon deposits common to GDI engines. We used this on a '16 Kia Soul Installation requires fabrication of a custom mounting bracket and the hose that comes with it will collapse under the slightest vacuum. However, the can itself is a nice piece of CNC-machined aluminum that is nicely anodized, which for some reason I find satisfying. Do not expect it to fall together as if it were meant to, it will take some effort, but it'll pay off by not forcing you to get your intake valves cleaned later, which is typically after your warranty expires on Kia/Hyundai.

I simply went to the auto parts store and purchased hoses that were a bit.

While the can is well constructed, the hose included with it is of low quality. As the hose caves in, the air circulation is cut off. In order to use my power-supply, I had to purchase a $4 one I found a steering hose (3/8) at my local auto parts store.

It's a great looking set up and easy to use. Nevertheless, it would have been nice if it came with four clamps rather than two. Aside from the slightly worse quality hose, the upgraded version is pretty good. However, they zip tied it too tightly, leaving half of the hose crushed, leaving opportunity for kinks and not the good kind.
