The steel has been polished to a mirror finish, and they appear to be factory-installed. Once installed, these are extremely eye-catching. br>br>I'd like to clarify something I've noticed in a couple of the negative reviews: I'd seen a couple of other reviewers mistakenly claim that the smaller triangle pieces for the back doors are "too short," and that they've made mistakes with them. As a result of the way the back door trim is designed, there's an odd recessed area at the bottom of the triangle where these steel pieces go. THIS IS A DESIGN QUIRK WITH THE ROGUE ITSELF, NOT A SIGN OF A DESIGN PROBLEM WITH THE ITEMS BEING REVIEWED. (Refer to the close up picture I took to see what I'm talking about. ) If any of the negative reviewers had actually looked at the design of the car, they would have noticed that the manufacturer of these pieces had perfectly replicated the raised portion of the trim. The odd design for the back door is highlighted when the trim pieces are installed. This can be avoided by either not installing the piece or installing it flush with the window's bottom. (Keep in mind that the latter option will result in a small gap beneath the trim piece. ) It shouldn't be a problem, but the car owner has the final say on how to proceed. )br>br>I'd also like to compliment this seller on his excellent customer service. When my trim pieces went missing in the mail, they offered to replace them for free. They were able to track down the shipment through the postal service and get the original package back on track before having to ship the new pieces. Throughout the entire process, they communicated extremely well. br>br>This is an excellent product and seller with whom to do business. They pay close attention to the smallest details and ensure that their clients are happy. I wish I could give it a higher rating.

Great product, but I would advise the seller to use more tape when packaging this item because the actual product slipped through the openings of the box where there was no tape, and my first package arrived with only an empty box. Because there was no tape on the ends of the box, the product literally stuck out the end when the second package arrived. To avoid re-taping, I'd suggest using a little more tape. wasting money by sending the same product over and over. However, this is an excellent product.

I like how it looks on my SUV, and it's of good quality. However, after putting all of the pieces on except one, they all fit except that one last piece, which made no sense because it didn't fit on any side of the car, so I had to take them all off and send them back. They will cut you if you're not careful. I'm hoping that the next set I ordered will fit better because my SUV looks a lot better without them: ( overall 20100% value for money).

I've had them installed on other vehicles that I've owned. I don't use a hair dryer to heat adhesive because I find that heating metal on a car is much more effective.

Triangle pieces are too short, and the corners have damage, indentations from shipping box travel, or the units I received have been previously used and possibly refurbished.
