Dear Friend, it seems that the springs on the door are not strong enough to hold it You must use the Heavy Lift Kit if you are using the Hatchlift Kit. It would be beneficial to try H8 20" 90 lbs We thank Hatchlift Products for their assistance
There is still a latch so that you can close the door. It was easier to hold the door open with these devices like the PIA latches, and'or magnets compared to PIA latches or magnets. The issue has now been fixed.
HI Jeanne, please remember that gas springs should only be disconnected when the RV is being stored for a long period. We thank Hatchlift Products for their assistance
The door to which I refer does not have them installed, but I believe it would be compatible with The one we've got is installed underneath a slide on the inside of the glass door. Their functionality is fantastic and they work perfectly. There were those magnets that would not hold if it was even a little

The product was great and the installation was easy. There's only one thing I don't like I wish you could order cylinders that have less strength in them so they wouldn't bend as much and break. My doors are extremely light and cheap. A door's inner panel is now moving around in its frame so much that it is now a mechanical problem. I don't believe the Hatchlift is at fault. It works well and I'm sure it'll perform even My use of them is due to the fact that the doors smash into the camper side when they are open and the wind blows.
I think this is a great product that comes with all the hardware you need. When purchasing this product, make sure you order two kits if your door is wide this is recommended in the product description and is a good idea. The seller, Hatchlift, was very quick to substitute heavier gas springs for the light ones Based on the kit recommendation, I chose the size of door I had, but it is heavier than the recommendation based on standard door size. With no hassles, the exchange took place promptly and without any issues.
It was not clear what was expected of me. As soon as I installed the shock, the door would not close past 3/4 of the way. I had to remove the metal plate first. In order for the metal plate to work, I had to lower the mount on the inside of the door as well as the metal plate. As far as I'm concerned, the product seems to have now worked.
I have not followed the assembly directions correctly and the large panel should have been placed on the center of that panel rather than the left. When you position the arm in the center (as shown), When the cylinder bottoms out, it bursts. I cannot select a hole from the list. Actually, there is an inch of more space between the hinge and the glass. With screws, I covered the holes I didn't want. There'll be no Saturday tech support, I'm afraid.
It was not possible to lift the doors using the struts. The guide lines should also be followed. It turns out I had to buy stronger struts. The kit will only lift 20 pounds I had to buy struts that weigh 45 pounds.
The installation process was easy. There is no doubt that you need two If you have two kits, you still need to leave the doors fully open in order to prevent them from closing on you or falling on you. Two kits were ordered in two separate orders, and one cylinder appears to be larger than the other both in diameter and length. I wasn't too surprised by it, but it did seem odd.
After getting tired of trying to fix the door latch that comes unhooked under the front of the 5'r. It took me a while to figure it out, so I ordered two. The installation went smoothly and the instructions were clear. It's a great tool. The product was exactly as described.
This product holds the door open with ease so no more cuts on the head when trying to open it with your hands.
