The product seems to be a good one, but the fit is hard and very stiff. With a vise I compressed the spring under tension, then tied it with four zip ties so it would stay Once it was installed, I took off the zip ties and cut them. The easy thing is to say it but harder to do. Using a spring compressor, I'm sure, but it's not too late to reverse the process.

It's easy to do with the right tool. After trying the vice and zip ties I bought a tool from O'Reilly Auto Parts which worked better than the vice and zip ties. The installation was still tricky, but it was possibly possible. You should also be careful when pressing the button not to point at it. As a result, it bounced hard against the ground. After I cut three coils off of it, ground down the end, and installed it into my 2001 Dodge Ram, it worked like a charm. This seems to work fine. No spring compressor is required, you just compress the spring in a vice, wrap thin stainless steel wire around it and tighten it up, then place it into the spring pocket in the door. Put on eye protection in case things don't turn out as well as you'd like them to.
