A different part would have been needed for my GM motorhome from 1990. In order to make it work, I needed to reshape all of it. My bench grinder and cutoff tool for my air compressor took me two hours to do this task. spring clip that rotates the spring did lift and close the door, but that was the only part to work. I wish I could show a photo, but on this screen there is no option.
