Paint is not applied to the walls. The surface is a glossy black and it looks great, but it could easily be painted if desired.
There is an excellent fit for the Q50, just like it would be an OEM part.

Although it will require more than the provided 3m tape to hold it up, it bolts up from the bottom which is cool. Apart from 3M tape barely being able to hold it in place on the car, it seems pretty good.
Diffuser does not come with an instruction book, and places on it have tape missing. The item is made of cheap plastic and they want you to go through all kinds of hoops to return it. The need for 94 dollars is there. It tells that the 00 dollars are bad. My Ikon Auto guide tells me all I need to know.

There was some McGyvering to do, since it wasn't a perfect fit. You have to do the math to figure out where to adhere and where not to adhere due to the lack of instructions from the vendor. Don't take anything for granted!.
