This was ordered for a 2019 Fiat 124 Spider that did not come with factory-installed wheels. Blind spot monitoring has been installed. This option had been on my wish list, but it was unavailable in the color combination I desired. It's difficult for me to change lanes because I live in a congested area (metro Atlanta). I went "old school" and bought these wide-angle stick-on sunglasses. on the surface of mirrors Installing them was a breeze. br>br>I got the "fan-favorite" br>br>I got the "favorite" br shaped" mirrors that matched the outer edge of my mirrors perfectly. I mounted them flush against the mirror and didn't use the included round base, which allowed the mirror to swivel for more options for the driver. They work well and provide a wide field of view while remaining undetectable. They were beneficial to me! br>br>.
I'm blown away by how much clearer this glass product is than the plastic alternatives available. And, unlike round plastic discs, the rectangular shape allows for a much better view. You'll feel hampered if you don't have one of these after a while if you don't have one - and the view and clarity of this glass product make it very easy to adjust to. This book comes highly recommended. I only gave the adhesion three stars because there's no way of knowing how long it'll last; however, the tape used here appears to be far superior to the double-sided foam tape used on some of the plastic items. Some of the choices made by other reviewers don't sit well with me. The best location, in my opinion, is in the upper right corner (of the driver's side mirror). Because that corner usually has no relevant traffic, you're not concealing anything you don't want to see. This allows you to use your regular mirror to its full potential while also benefiting from the expanded view provided by the stick-on mirror.
The swivel was the only flaw for which I deducted a star. While it works well, it causes the mirror to float about a quarter inch away from the truck mirror. The swivel is small, and it can be easily moved out of place. I'm considering disassembling the swivel, applying silicone, and allowing it to cure in the desired position.
I hoped it would aid my vision as I approached a bank teller window on the left curb. It does not reveal anything that I could not see in a normal mirror, i. e. I can't tell if the curb is an inch or a foot away from my car because it's still obscured by the trees. I must choose between scratching the door and being unable to reach the teller's window.
This blind spot mirror has no frame or borders, so the eye must first look for that location before locating it, and only then locate imagesbr>2. The images on this mirror are much smaller than those on the OEM mirrorbr>3. The mirror isn't big enough.
I can look in the smaller mirror instead of turning around to check if there's a car in my blindspot. JUST IN CASE YOU DIDNT KNOW: If you're buying it for a Toyota RAV4, avoid the trapezoid-shaped mirror. You might expect it to fit flush and look professional, but it doesn't. Choose the circle as your preferred option.
I've used better convex mirrors in the past. These have a tendency to move around, making them a poor choice; they were better suited to the side view than anything else. All of these convex mirrors are pivot-based, allowing you to adjust them according to your sitting position, but the passenger one appears to move around with the wind.
These blindspot mirrors are fantastic, and I highly recommend them!.
