Vendors should be able to tell you more about their products. The fact that a regular taxi sounds like all you have is me assuming you have one. Specifically, mine was a 2016 regular cab 1500. There may be a difference if you drive a dump truck. If more assistance is needed, I am sorry I cannot be of assistance
A 1980 model will not accept these. The mountings on these panels are rocker panels.

It's easy to tell where all the parts are, since the brackets are marked with their locations, and the parts are labeled for a driver or passenger side. Once I had the right socket size, assembly was about 10 minutes. As for the bolts on my truck, they were 21mms, while the bolts to mount the bars to the brackets were 3/4 inches. I ordered one set of these maybe three months ago and the driver side is never used, but the passenger side has been stepped on twice. The plastic step piece front end on the passenger side has already started to lift. There is a prong in front and one in the back of the black plastic that fits into the aluminum. Aluminium is fitted with prongs that fit in holes. can be no reason why this would be happening except if the design of the site is terrible. wrapped a few pieces of masking tape around the prong, then used painters tape to super glue the piece down. Having just taken the tape off, the fabric seems to be holding up so far, but I live in the south, so it's unlikely to last that long. Don't buy max mate unless you're certain it's right for you.
