My new wind deflector is cutting down on wind and noise
4/5

My new wind deflector has inspired me to take my Solara out for a drive immediately after receiving it. It's good, but not good enough to give it five stars. We haven't. Despite being in excellent condition, the package was intact. As well as the screen being well-protected in the box, styrofoam was used to keep The bag in which it was shipped came with the product. detailed instructions with pictures that explain how to install the gadget, and it went smoothly. I had no trouble installing on my own the first few times, despite the recommendation of getting assistance the first few times. Essentially the screen has two spring loaded pegs on the back, which are plugged into the holes already in the trim. Some of the holes are also covered with little black rubber plugs, while the front rests on two brackets that interface with the trim The two straps with hooks on the side trim below the carpet area behind the front seats are also hooked onto the side trim. After it has been installed all the way, it is extremely The vertical part is easily lifted and lowered by hand, and it has a soft "lock" feeling to ensure it stays There is one thing on the photos that wasn't obvious Not all of the pieces of the vertical piece are A bit of lean is evident towards the front seats. There is nothing wrong with it, but it does not look as sharp as some permanent screens that are included in some cars It is common for them to be In terms of reducing wind, this screen is quite effective. At higher speeds, it is particularly effective. As I drove through cross-winds today on a moderately windy day, I noticed that this screen could not prevent gusts from the sides when driving, despite the fact that the winds created by driving are reduced. I think if it had been relatively calm, it would have been close to being windy The front of the vehicle is free. Because I had closed the side windows, I was able to eliminate most of the cross wind effect as well. Having the wind at the back of the car does cut down on noise as well as cooling. Today was in the low seventies and I was getting a little hot due to the wind, as I had the screen up and the windows closed. However, this doesn't happen normally at these temperatures because the sun is behind the screen. Next month will bring the arrival of summer, so that might pose a problem. The results will have to wait until I see them. This purchase has been a good buy for me overall and I I will update my review after I've lived with it for a while longer to share anything else I have Having made this purchase, I am pleased with what I have bought and the bag is great. If you're looking for something like this to reduce wind, this is the way to go.

Reduces the wind by a significant amount
4/5

My 2008 Solara convertible that I bought "used" several years ago can now house this unit. It has always been a great pleasure to have the top down, but I put it down less often than I would like because of two reasons The challenges of (1) putting up my long hair and risking a "hair bump" from the elastic, and (2) when the wind overpowers my conversation and music, I have to roll down the front windows with the top down, or put it back up to get better sound quality. The installation process was simple. I was able to install it There are nowhere near as many steps as you would think. Installing the kit on my car was no problem because the holes already existed. It must be kept in mind that this means no one is allowed to The unit is easy to store in the trunk when it's not in use, and the bag makes it easy to transport. Taking this for a test run, I've noticed that my hair still blows around, but the amount of wind is significantly reduced. I no longer need to roll up the windows with the top down because the noise has been reduced, as well. If you are traveling at a faster speed, you can notice a greater difference. Despite the price, I still gave it one star because it is pleased with my purchase.

The results have been excellent
4/5

An easy to install product. On the 2004SLE, I drilled two tiny holes barely visible from the front. it is easy and quick to set up. There is a significant reduction in wind speed. I am 6'2", so I still get a good amount of turbulence on top of my head, but no side buffeting that pops your ears at 70+ mph. Although there is enough room for my seat to be all the way back and reclined (I was a little concerned about that), there is a storage bag that is an additional In general, it is a very good product, but I will not give it a 5 star rating due to physics. As such, you will notice measurable improvements in noise reduction but this won't eliminate the issue The benefit only comes from 45mph and up, according to my own view.

Does what it is advertised to do
5/5

I found that the product did what it was expected to do. I just unloaded our convertible from its winter storage and am driving it. 80% less wind disturbance is caused thanks to it A 90 % success rate. Constructed to a high standard. The price was a bit high, but we're glad we purchased it.

This is what you need if you have a Solora
5/5

Between the hours of 00. 00 and 21. 00 This is cheaper than the other one I ordered from love the drive) BUT, once I got it home I found out that you must drill holes in the plastic side panels, and not just any small ones. As a result, I returned the merchandise My Toyota charged me a $75 restock fee, and then I ordered this windscreen (no drilling required). The wind noise is reduced by 85%, and the chill factor is reduced by 75% by this great product. I highly recommend this product - well worth the money By adding two more months, you will have an extended top down season.

Is really as good as it sounds I'm very satisfied with the Drive
5/5

Although it is priced highly, I am now very glad I purchased it My wife and daughter (both with long hair) get a lot more enjoyment from riding with me when I use this. When you have passengers (one minute max), it is quite easy to take the seat off. Even so, although I notice it when looking in the rear view mirror, it does not bother me in a way that would When installed, it looks good and does not detract from the appearance of the vehicle. We recommend this product to customers who want to reduce the amount of backflow wind in their.

My cover is almost always down since I live in Southern California
5/5

This thing really dampens the wind that hits the inside of the car when the top is down (I'm from California, so it is almost always down). It was a good upgrade, as you can now hear the radio as well as talk on the cellphone and the wind noise on the cellphone is not as bad when using hands free as usual without the Love The Drive.
