Questions & Answers

Can it be used with the brake pedal, too? Can you tell if it is strong or ?

Whenever I use brake pedals, it's an essential part of my setup. This is a very strudy song

Do you know if it's spring-loaded? Since I already have a spring loaded pedal, will the bleeder screw follow the pedal down when the pedal is let go?

There is no spring mechanism on it. The pedal is just held down by this device, which works well for holding down the pedal. It is very easy to use.

Does this tool work well enough to press a brake pedal once you have lifted a car and realized that the lug nuts are on too tight and there is no one around to help?

Considering I use it to hold down the clutch pedal on a freightliner, I'm certain that it can also be used to hold down the brake pedal of a sedan.

Do you know if it's spring-loaded? Can I bleed the brakes with the one I have now? If so, will the pedal follow as ?

There is no spring loaded mechanism in the Lisle 21520 Pedal Depressor.

My hands and fingers are strong enough to unlock the slide mechanism, but it's notoriously difficult. To loosen it up, tap it gently with a hammer the first few times until it becomes more comfortable. It would be great if there was an e-mail option A clip holds the yellow plate in place, since there is only one hole in it It is attached by a ring that loosely holds it in place. By using this one handed, you will lose the plate as well as your patience if you have to turn it upside down. Truthfully, I think it will get welded. And I am e-mailing to confirm this. You can either clip or cinch While still allowing removal and rotation, the clip could be removed and rotated without restriction. In any case, it is a great tool, just like most of the Lisle products.

If you need to apply heavy pressure to a brake or clutch pedal (aka STOMP on it), this is what you need! Apparently, if all you need to do is trigger the brake or clutch switch, then you can get away with playing with a less powerful product, such as the Thexton 30500 throttle tool or the Lisle 48700 throttle tool
5/5

Nevertheless, if you need to stomp on the pedal in order to test a hydraulic system or apply pressure to a boat ramp, this is THE most convenient product available. A bike like the Lisle 21520 is built like a beast, and it can handle any pedal pressure you can apply. When it comes to dealing with non-English languages, this product is a great choice Fluidized assist clutches (aka "foo-gates" The brakes are foo" clutches). You can set this item in a few easy steps, and it won't bend an inch. The Lisle throttle tool #48700 is a great product for what it was designed to do -- it can be used It is important to have precise control over the throttle pedal to perform testing and diagnostics. I would not recommend the 48700 for brake or clutch applications beyond applying some light pressure to test the brake and clutch switches. A 1/2" screw thread connects the two sections of the thin rod together, so it would be inconvenient for using it to make brake or clutch combinations. It is better to use the 21200 instead, since you will have to hold the brake or clutch harder.

This is a good quality product that works well
4/5

Obviously, this review is for the 21520 TRUCK PEDAL DEPRESSOR and is NOT the THROTTLE DEPRESSOR.

I purchased this to lock down the brake pedal when putting my boat on a the parking brake on the rear wheel to be engaged as well as the brakes on all four wheels. A safer loading process is made possible by minimizing the number of jarring movements the truck will experience when the power is turned on, as well as the chance that it will roll back and become submerged, which can ruin a I find the product to be very sturdy, easy to use, and well suited for the job. There is only one reason I deducted one star, and that is the bracket that goes to the steering wheel (or the seat frame) The issue was resolved by drilling a hole through the neck of the bracket and through the end of the tube, and inserting the cotter pin through the hole.

It is well made and heavy duty

Be sure not to flip it to extend the end or it On my 2012 Jeep JK, I used this pedal prop to replace the front brake lines. In the factory service manual, it says you need to use a prop on your brake pedal to keep it from moving past the first If you do this, you will isolate the master cylinder, so that when you disconnect the flexible brake line, you will not drain the whole I didn't have to use a lot of brake fluid and the mess it caused was minimal. In addition, I applied a FIRSTINFO brake line clamp to stop the flow from the hardline once the flex line had been Amazon is where I also purchased them. When you remove the Banjo Bolt, you can also save fluid by using a soft rubber plug for the brake caliper. In my opinion, this item would be a good purchase. With the yellow end, there is an O ring attached to it. That didn't sit well with some people. This did not bother me in the least.

Rather than buying this years ago, why don't I buy it now? Many repairs I have performed over the years required me to step on the brake pedal or rev the engine up to a set speed
5/5

For the past few years, I have used hammers, breaker bars, extensions and pry bars to move the foot pedal from between the seat and pedal, but it has As I am able to precisely adjust engine RPMs with this tool, I can also use it to apply a strong brake pedal pressure with this tool. There is quality in the product. Lisle, thanks for your feedback! This is a great book!.

This product works well, however there is a weakness
5/5

I know I am not an excellent welder to begin with. Depressors generally work well for what they are, but they do have one weakness. I assume it comes in two pieces that screw together so that it can be shipped. There is no durability in the screw due to its small size and weakness. People who have owned this model and had the screw snap have told me to put jb weld on the screw, screw it together, and let it dry before using it. For a while, it worked fine, but I closed a hood on it, causing it to snap in two. It was cheaper to weld the two halves together instead of buying a new one. I changed it a little to make it.

I am very pleased with it
5/5

It is not an issue for me As a result, I torqued my wheels to the specifications of the manufacturer. The feeling of snugging up does not appeal to me Torque the car first and then lower it to finish it. Torque them while they're up in the air is what I enjoy doing. Then I release the brakes and torque up the engine. I was worried that the force applied by the torque would exceed the pressure applied by this thing to the brakes, but that wasn't the case. The design is perfect! Good job! I purchased this one because I found some of the other ones to be very flimsy. I have been very pleased so far.

This product is suitable for both personal and professional use
5/5

As a Honda technician, I specialize in the company's products. Being as efficient as possible is one of my goals as I begin my career. To provide quality service to my customers, I strive for excellence. Lights are an important check that is often neglected. Assuming someone else checks the lights for you would disrupt them during their work, you can't rely on someone else. In some shops, the brake and reverse lights cannot be seen with mirrors. Every time a Multi Point Inspection comes in, I personally check the lights. The brake pedal depressor is easy to use and works well for unattended brake, reverse, and indicator lights checks. Aside from being a hood prop, I've also used it as a camera prop once. This is the type of tool that every self-sufficient technician should have. There are other ones out there, but this one is by far my favorite. I recommend it to those that work on cars at home or for automotive technicians. Having the ability to check lights on your personal vehicle without requiring a second person would be helpful.
