Two more LEDs failed after another 200 miles, leaving only two of the six LEDs on that light working. It was good for a while. I'm going to disassemble it and see if any of the connections that have failed can be repaired. Even if the price is low, one shouldn't have to do this. br>br>Make a product that lasts longer than a few months of intermittent use, and I'll gladly pay more. This is, however, the extent of the available options. Update: After a few more months of infrequent use, we'll only have one working LED on one side.
I went to put them in tonight on a trailer that already had three. One brake, one tail/turn, and one ground wire for each light setup ONE OF THE LIGHTS' CIRCUITS WAS DEAD. Yes, I double-checked the wiring, and yes, I double-checked the wiring on the trailer. I even used a 12v DV power supply for the lights. Each circuit had a complete failure. There's no way to look inside to see what's wrong.
A year or two ago, I put a set of these on my trailer. On the back of the trailer, I built metal guards to protect them. br>I noticed that one of them was not working and the other had segments that were not lit. When I repainted the trailer and cut one open, I removed them. What a disaster. Water had gotten inside, so I reordered and siliconed the CRAP out of it as I installed it, thanks to the fabricated metal guards I had made for this very light. I believe the water got into the printed circuit board through the three wires that came out of the light. I siliconed all of the glued-together seams as well as the wiring. I should also mention that these are inexpensive enough to conduct this study.
You do get what you pay for, in this case. When compared to the better brands found even at the typical Marts and Depots, these are light duty, flimsy lights. The LEDs have a good amount of brightness and are simple to wire and install. If you're looking for something that can withstand the elements, this is the place to be. ness and long-term planning You should keep shopping if you want long-term durability.
Junk. One of the bulbs went out after two trips to the ramp, flickering. I checked the ground, connections, and so on. I called Amazon, which offered no assistance other than to direct me to the seller. When I called, they transferred my request to a different department, which failed to contact me as expected. I called again a few days later. again. I received one replacement unit for one side a week later. br>I pulled off the defective one, which had water inside and rust on the wires where it entered the unit.
But ! The value of something is the ratio of its quality to its price. is an excellent example. br>However, as with most plastics, it is not without flaws. Attaching to the trailer must be done with caution. Because the mounting holes are easily damaged. br>I think the best way to attach it is to use sealer silicone or gutter seam sealer. And screws were used to keep the sealer in place until it dried. This method is simple to set up. br>br> Are you looking for a light that is small and portable? br>On a 600-mile trip, it was used. So far, I'm pleased!br>.
I'm not happy at all. One of the lights is only halfway lit right now. Although the wiring is sound, one of the LEDs has already burned out. Put them on a boat trailer, but make sure the connectors are waterproof and heat-shrinkable.
These lights are fantastic and well worth the money. br>br>We needed new rear lights for our race trailer, and these were the best option. They perform admirably, are extremely bright, and can be seen from afar. Many people have told us how bright these lights are and how far they can be seen when we leave the races at night. These lights were used as brake lights, turn signals, and rear running lights. br>br>These photos were taken at the start of the trailer's construction process (2 years ago). ) During the winter, the trailer is kept outside, in the snow. I've been through two, almost three winters of snowstorms and have never had a problem. br>br>If I ever need more of these lights, I will definitely buy more!.
