There is nothing to be gained by using the LED bulbs that come with them To test whether they are lit, you have to hold a match close to them The ones I replaced were much brighter and more colorful. I had to throw away three of the five pigtails because the contacts on all three were pulled deeply into the sockets and, after I push them back, they wouldn't complete the circuit so I didn't have any bulbs to light.
With regard to the pigtails I had much better ones on hand. On the truck, each cab was as delivered by the factory The light has a standard of two-dimensional dimensions In the wiring harness, there is a five-prong connector You can simply pull enough of the wire out of the roof instead of cutting or splicing the pigtails. Connect the two-pin connector to the top hole, unplug the connector, and use the new two-pin connector This plug-in connector is made from the plug-in connector you supply, with the new plug-in pigtail spliced/solder-ed to it An affair of play It is known to the designers that these two features will be included Provided new pigtails with the two-prong connector and should have provided new three-prong connectors As part of the pigtail, you will find prong connectors. All of these generic replacement cabs are similar in some respects to the original They do not line up straight with the cab surface, and they are NOT flush with it There will be a big gap at both ends of the screw once it's in place The lights should be sealed with proofing sealant Using butyl tape, I applied a layer of protection A perimeter of silicone caulk was applied around the perimeter after applying mastic. Although I tried to be careful and kept them from cracking, I still managed to crack two of these before I ever had a chance to use them. Nevertheless, as I mentioned earlier, there is nothing else out there that works and fits quite as well as this A new taxi cab if your old one- They look decrepit, cracked, faded, and older than any other lights available, and they are neither better nor worse than the other options. You might need an extra light or two once you get the kit installed, so you might want to buy two kits.
I had to replace the damaged dry rotted factory lights on my 93 Installing them isn't difficult, and there's a user-made video posted on YouTube that has a lot of helpful information.
Still black and in perfect condition, the truck is equally bright in the sun and shade, the leds didn't last as long, but it's no big deal since this kit comes off for a fraction of what truck companies would normally Let's cut down on plastic waste, so money can be used for.
The set of lights is nice. A clear led light and an orange led light were used. In my opinion, orange looks better. We're in the process of painting the truck. You'll see a new picture as soon as it's done.
I found it to be good, but a little dim since it is smoked. The mounting and bulb socket are not original. This is a aftermarket part, so original bulb cables need to be cut and changed, however the part is much more expensive than the OE part. The original trucklite part is also available, but it is.
My first set of bulbs I bought a few years ago were brighter but this time they're dimmer. With the dark smoked plastic lens, the bulbs are not bright enough to be seen during daylight hours. To replace my old bulbs, I had to buy brighter ones. The recommendation is to avoid it.
The only downside I found was the wire could be a bit thicker, but it still looks good.
Overall, I am pleased with the lights both in person and on the car. They look great in person, the quality is good, and the looks are great There is just one thing I can't stand about the amber color- when lit up it has a slight yellow tint as compared to my halogen headlight marker lights, but it still has a brighter light output than the LED one. Although the lighting is solid, the smoked lenses allow plenty of light to shine through.
