A set of these cab lights is designed to fit 1973 - 1997 Ford F-150, F-250, and F-350 F-Series trucks equipped with factory cab marker lights. Installation of the system on other 12V vehicles will require placement and drilling.
The cab marker light is made up of five 12 LEDs each. This gives you a clear view in poor visibility conditions.
They are made of high quality ABS plastic that will not fade when exposed to light.
The plug socket is T10, making it easy for you to modify and rewire. The soft pads that are included fit curved roofs or fast feet.
If you need to cover the hole with silicone gel or another material, you may need these materials. In case of any hassle, make sure you're able to handle all the operations before buying.
Questions & Answers
Does the 1996 F350 need to be replaced directly? Does it require additional work, or does it just work out of the box?
In short, yes. THERE IS NO NEED TO DO ADDITIONAL WORK. I liked how it fit me.
Would these still work if there had never been cab lights ?
In fact, yes. On my 1990 F250, I didn't have any. Mark and drill the holes where you want the screws to go and they will be able to stand up by themselves. Your wiring needs to be run. To make parking lights work, I tied my wiring into the headlight switch
Unless the LED burns out or goes bad, is there a way to replace it?
When the LED in this light fails, it is not possible to replace it. Theoretically, you might be able to, but you would first have to find an LED color that works best and you would then have to solder it. The assembly could easily be changed if the entire assembly were changed.
Has each light a resistor built in to replicate the load that a regular incandescent t10 bulb would carry?
There is no need for a resistor in this circuit

It is a mistake to follow these instructions
haha, okay, I've read a lot of reviews about those not working all of the time. Therefore, I was going to test each one before installing it. I had two that didn't light up, so when I got to the third one and it didn't light up, I assumed that something was wrong. Here's the trick, despite what the instructions say (as well as whatever you've learned about dc wire color etiquette), the black wire isn't the ground (negative). It's It seems that the makers of these thought we would all be wiring them into our houses instead of running them via DC if they were trucks? The black in this picture symbolizes the hot and the white the ground. (That makes sense to me, as I am a house electrician. ) Once I worked this out, it all went smoothly, and they work fine. Also, the complaint about what is not curved is irrelevant, as the stock lights on my F350 are also straight, and these are exactly what I needed to fit my screw holes, so I am happy with them.

Lighting from China that is of poor quality
Obviously, the base of these lights don't curve in any way. When I read the instructions and installed the lights, I installed them As soon as I energized my parking lights, the cab lights failed to come The lights had the necessary 12V going to them, and they all had solid grounds. It took me a while to figure it out, but after reversing the wires I had three of the lights working and two That indicates either the instructions written for the light builder were wrong, or the light builder was drunk. Because PARTSam customer service only speaks Chinese, they were unable to assist nearly any questions I had. My rating is three stars because Amazon refunded my money so I could buy a whole new set to replace the two that haven't worked. To buy a new light, I would definitely look for a different brand.

This is a backwards wiring
I just rewired my roof lights for three hours. Added these nice LEDs to replace my old ones from the factory. The originals I sliced and wired in had a nice water-proof plug, so I sliced and wired in new ones like this- Follow the directions. I plugged in all five lights but they didn't work. I was supposed to be using the white wire for the positive. However, there are no electrical currents flowing to the white wire. After unplugging one, I went to a battery and tried two jumper wires on it with no luck. The white was touched to the ground while the black was touched to hot and light. There had to be a re-evaluation of all five A white ground is spliced into the black. I am not happy with this!.

Replacement light is pleasant to look at but will not fit the roof contours of Fords
A white truck with smoke lens and lights is attractive to me. Lighting that uses LEDs is appealing to me. It doesn't fit me well. I was able to turn on all of the lights. A bead of Silcon around the base of the roof to prevent water from entering was required since these are intended for a flat surface, which isn't the Ford truck roof. My rating would have been 5 stars if it were not for the fit.

The finish is decent, but the fit is poor
It has a decent finish, one light is a darker amber color than the others but this isn't a problem. There's no point to the fit, though. In my experience, trucks do not have flat roofs they are all slightly curved, and the bases on these lights are as flat as can be they do not fit to the cab at all, and there is a gap in between the lights and the cab on both sides. This item will be replaced within the next few weeks, would not recommend to others.

It looks good, but it is not molded to the I like the way it looks, but it feels cheap and does not have a contour that fits the roof well

I think it is a good It's nice to have that upgrade, and at night it's really bright
My biggest problem was the rain came in and caused some leaks inside. I had to add some black silicone.

Don't fit in the same way as OE
Despite being a good value, they don't seal to the roof and don't have a curve like the original Adding a large bead of silicone is necessary.
