This is a standard waterprooy. It is not, however, submersible.
Yes.
I believe it was 14 gauge and not particularly thick, based on my memory. However, because they are LEDs, the current consumption is minimal.

Note that the plastic appears to be brittle. The color of the lit led in the photo is not accurate. The yellow is a result of using an iPhone to take pictures. There isn't a single speck of yellow in sight. They are a bright, deep red all over. They're a lot brighter than the old ones. I like the overall design and size, and I was able to get an entire set in both colors for a reasonable price. Because of the low price, the plastic may be very thin and fragile. It's too early to tell how these will hold up in the hot sun, vibration, and use over time; they're replacing Toyota lenses that are 25 years old. br>Warning: this is a dangerous situation. Take a look at the third image. With just a smidgeon of tightening, the lens detached from the base. I heard another small popping sound while replacing it, but there was no separation, so I finished the job. Go easy. The bottom is extremely flimsy due to its thinness. These were adhered to a slanted vinyl surface. br>To sum it up; If they fail prematurely (as so many of the imported leds we've purchased over the last few years have), we'll reconsider our four-star rating. We'd buy again for the time being. Unfortunately, we've become addicted to LED lighting, particularly in our automobiles.
Unlike the originals, these lights have a polarity requirement, which would be fine if they were clearly marked. It's not a big deal once you know it's there, but the manufacturer seemed to want to keep it hidden. It's not difficult to figure out once you've tested the lights and marked the positive (the wires are both black, so that was thoughtful of them), but it will take some time.
The only criticism I have is that when tightening the lens with a drill, it separated from the back. I used the drill to start the screw and then tightened it with a screwdriver after seeing what happened the first time, and it worked perfectly. I like the brightness and the performance. I would buy it again.
On a hitch-mounted luggage rack, I mounted these. The luggage rack was activated by the vehicle's pedestrian/collision sensor. I needed something to plug into the trailer plug to fool the vehicle into thinking I was towing a trailer, which would turn off the warning light. If I had to plug something in, I figured I might as well put these on the sides and back of the luggage rack to make it more visible at night. If the wires are bent sharply, the insulation on them easily breaks. On the areas where I was having trouble, I used liquid electrical tape. Aside from that, everything has gone well.
Only one problem with the installation: if the surface isn't perfectly flat, one end of the plastic lens will "pop up" away from the black plastic base. I'm not sure, but this appears to jeopardize the fixture's water resistance. I went over those edges with some "goop" silicon. It happened on two of the lights, and the trailer's side appeared to be fairly flat. br> Apart from that, they're vibrant and simple to work with. Because the lens protrudes from the base, it receives three stars. Is it possible that I'm a generous person?.
They're small (approximately 4 inches long) and simple to install into your trailer lights. I would strongly recommend him because the set is reasonably priced. It is less expensive than what I would have paid at the Salt Lake RV store. Overall, I'm very pleased with the product. It was simple to install, and the LED lights are bright enough that I don't have to worry about them burning out.
These have a lot of contrast. The plastic lenses (red and orange) would break and pop off every time I installed one. I used silicone to kind of glue them back on after I installed them. The brightness is amazing, but I wish they were more durable. I wouldn't buy them again because EVERY single one of them broke.
They were used to add a directional side marker to the side of my motorhome. Just above the front wheel wells, I positioned them. br>This will inform drivers behind me at a stop light of my intentions. A signal "blind spot" exists in the foreground. br>To avoid putting any strain on the LED cover, I made sure they were mounted on a flat surface. They've only been on for a month, but they're holding up well.
