The lights are fine as far as they go; the problem will be durability and connectivity. The wiring is solid core, which is the weak point on this, as anyone who has done a lot of wiring will tell you. Butte connectors, as well as heat shrink connectors, will be difficult to work with, and solid core connectors will break if bent too far. It would be preferable if the wires were at least 18 to 20 gauge. You get what you pay for when you buy in bulk for less than $1 per item. We bought about 50 for our shop to replace lights on trailers and trucks (red, amber, and a few clear). I will not reorder these once they have sold out. The size and type of wiring aren't specified in the specifications, but they should be included.
So I've been slipping it into my wife's back hole by accident for years. I no longer make that mistake now that I've installed one of these in her back hole with a 9 V battery. My wife is overjoyed now, so make your wife happy by slipping one of these into her backhole.
The positive lead could have easily been replaced with RED by the manufacturer. Aside from that, They're nice; I put them along the driveway and powered them with a small 12 volt power supply. That's in addition to a photo sensor (light detector switch) that turns them on when it gets dark. I'm thinking of buying a few more and stringing them around the upstairs deck. At 12 volts, there is plenty of light. The most common voltage in automobiles is 13. When the engine is running, the voltage rises to around 8 volts, and it can rise to 14 volts. 5 while the battery is being charged for the first time. As a result, I'm pleased with the brightness of my application. If you use this on a vehicle, your application will most likely be more visible. br>br>I gave it a high rating for water resistance because I've never had to deal with it. They do, however, appear to be tightly sealed. Low-voltage (12V) LEDs will still work correctly under water, according to experience. However, I would not use them as submarine headlights.
I've since purchased other similar lights with far superior wires. They'd be fine if they used a thicker gauge on these. However, due to the few strands of very thin wire on these, I expect a wiring failure. Another manufacturer comes highly recommended by me. Best wishes to you.
These were nice little self-contained led lights, and I wired two of them to a switch for a center console in my Toyota Tundra that was deep and dark. They worked well, and there's a rubber grommet for whatever hole you're mounting it through to keep it secure. Give it a score of four. 5 stars, it's pretty good, and it's cheap for what it is. The pack of ten is a great value for the money, costing only $10 at the time of purchase.
These lamps were used to demonstrate the use and wiring of multiple switches on a display board for an electrical class. I was worried that the lamps would be too bright, but they worked out perfectly. br>The rubber mounts made it simple to install the lamps into a 1/4" plexiglass panel by drilling a hole just the right size for the rubber mount with a unibit drill.
I put four of these in the inside rear liftgate and six on the front grill of my 2009 Subaru Forester. They're bright, and the rubber around them keeps the lights in place well. Even with an automatic wire stripper, the wires are thin, and the copper strands are few, making it difficult to strip without losing a few.
My son's power wheels car now has headlights thanks to these white leds. White lights in a closet, along a stairwell, or perhaps courtesy lights on a boat or car are all good ideas for a small project.
