Bright as a light bulb. With the brake ALERT, other drivers will be notified. The wire harness and grommet are not included. The fact that I needed to replace an existing installation made it a good choice for me. This light was very standard compared to other lights on Amazon which seemed slightly oversized. (Read the reviews) You can easily pull up the specs for this light on the manufacturer's website. It was shipped fast too, despite dealing with a 3rd party vendor. *Edit
It has been mine for several months and is still as bright as it was when we first bought it. On my Xterra, it serves as a third brake light mounted on the spare tire. Whenever I ease out of my garage at night and draw the door closed, the entire door lights up red when I brake. I had a coworker say that when the light came on, it was blindingly red, which really caught the eye.
It works as it should. Several times they have been submerged on a boat trailer and they look to be sealed.
It illuminates half way under the entire 48 foot trailer with just one bulb. It was exactly what I was expecting & a pleasure to use Delivery in a timely manner.
I like this. It's bright and lovely. It is of good.
It's pretty dim, sorry just being honest. This was intended for use on a commercial dump truck asphalt hauler, I run a bunch at night and quite often have to back up, sometimes in the middle of mountains. I repurposed this to serve as an auxiliary dome light, but it does not provide enough light to light up the back of my van.
Here is what else I have.
It doesn't. In my expectation, this lamp would have a "super bright" cool white color. It doesn't. There is an even distribution of light and a warm white light is produced. On the back of the lamp, it has "interior use only" etched into it. It is also advertised as a "Back Up Lamp" (an exterior lamp) but it is not an exterior lamp. Since there are so many LEDs, and it is described so well, and the price is so high, I initially thought I would get what I needed - but I was very disappointed. We are disappointed by the outcome of It's my fault.
I had installed cheaper lights less than a year earlier, and these were to replace them. They work hard and do an awesome job!.
