Yes, I do use them on one of my projects.
I cleaned up the manufacturing oil and welded my bracket with a 7018 stick, making sure to spend the majority of the welding time on the trailer side, which has thicker metal, to avoid burnthrough of the bracket's thinner sheet metal.
On the left, without a doubt. I had no trouble sticking welding mine to my trailer with 7018, though I did have to be careful not to overheat the brackets' thinner metal. To illuminate the license plate, I purchased LED lights that also serve as license plate bolts.
Before welding the box, simply drill a hole in the frame.

Overall, a good product; the only issue I had was that the 6" lights that were recommended did not fit into the housing. The holes were just a tad too large for a secure fit. Basically, the light had just settled in the entire area. I had to silicone the lights to the housing after they were installed because they kept falling out every time the trailer hit a bump. However, it's possible that it was a minor snafu. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose the option that includes lights. They might have been a better fit if they had been.

I would have given it a five if others had the same problem.
These were perfect for building my dump trailer. They're strong and stylish. Keep in mind that they are weldable, as stated on the package, so don't complain if you can't weld.
I was expecting a much cheaper looking product. br>It is a little more expensive than I wanted to pay, but it is quality.
These light housings did a fantastic job. I had to tack weld them in a few more places, but overall I'm pleased with the results. They were a total success.
The holes on the actual piece sent are on the opposite side of the picture on the install instruction, as shown in the pictures. I placed a second order, received the same results, and returned them. A customer service number was provided on the instruction. It was suggested that I send an email. I attached the photos to an email that I sent. There has been no response after a week. br>The product is good, but there are other sellers who sell the same thing, and I would recommend them over Extreme Max. I had to change the piece because I couldn't wait any longer. br>The reason I gave a 1 overall was because of the seller's poor performance. Look for another vendor!.
The lights will not go in because of the rubber grommets on the 6 inch oval. They've added material to the hole, making it too small for the light to pass through. Other grommets were used, and the lights were able to be installed properly. I've already set up the boxes, so I'll need to purchase new grommets. Before you start putting the boxes together, make sure they fit.
