I couldn't get enough voltage to turn on the LED whip controller, so it didn't work for me. I eventually went straight to the battery with an in-line charger. line fuse
It is powered by the same circuit as the tail lights, which are only turned on when the engine is turned on.
I'm guessing it's somewhere between 12 and 14 years old. 14 g is about to be released. It was perfect for my whips.

I wanted to make sure I reviewed this product correctly because I believe the negative reviewers aren't doing so. I have an XP-based computer from 2016. 4 1000. I started by plugging it into the driver's side rear main plug, which is where Polaris splits the harness into right and left. Some of the other negative reviewers correctly pointed out that this is a four-pin plug and the new plug is only a three-pin plug; unfortunately, they gave up too soon, just like I did at first. Fortunately, a few others who reviewed this product told us where the harness plugs into the tail light. These are three-pin plugs, so you could use two of them, one for each tail light. The plug worked perfectly after I did this, and the wires can now be hidden more easily in this location. I couldn't be more pleased with this product for this application. I strongly advise you to do so.
The installation took about 5 minutes, and the whips are fantastic.
Nice way to get lighted whips without running wire through the frame. With these, the whips will always be on while the vehicle is running, which, in my opinion, is far safer.
General XP is a 21-character code. A Polaris General XP 2020 or 2021 will not accept this plug. This plug was a complete waste of money for me.
These are required in pairs and go between the rear tail lights and the factory wiring. Simply disconnect the factory wiring from the tail light, connect this harness to the tail light, and then reconnect the factory wiring. Easy- peasy- lemon- squeezy. It works perfectly!.
My only complaint is that the electrical leads for the accessory power could be a little longer (2"-2. 5"). It would have been perfect if it had been three inches longer).
Running lights and white brakes were connected by a red wire. It wasn't an issue because I tested the connections before crimping them. People who don't know how to wire a house seem to leave negative reviews. My plug arrived quickly, was exactly what I expected, and worked flawlessly. Thanks!.
I purchased this power harness to wire in a third brake light and running light on the back of my RZR side by side. Due to the abuse we receive while trail riding, I would highly recommend this over cutting into the wire harness.
