I wouldn't say they're as bright as daytime bulbs, but they are unquestionably 5 times brighter. It also appears to be a lot brighter because they are white. This is a third light that I strongly recommend!
It should not be necessary. My model is an 01 (2nd generation), and I simply plugged it in and started playing. On your truck, there could be a faulty wire.
If your vehicle has the proper connection, it will plug into the connector that was previously used for the old light.
A high-mount brake light is standard on all Dodge Rams after 1998. My light turned out to be made incorrectly. It now works properly after I fixed it.

In a 2001 Ram 1500, it worked perfectly. I tried another one from a different company and it didn't work because the bed lights stayed on all the time. br>However, this one has worked perfectly for me so far. I've had it for about two months and have had no issues.
The housing and foam seal are of excellent quality, and the part is well-fitting. Unfortunately, the LEDs are among the worst I've ever seen in a car. During the day, it is essentially useless. I'm going to return it and replace the stock housing with LEDs instead. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: I began a return, but it took me about a week to get it off the truck and into the mail. When I took it out of the truck, I discovered that it was also full of condensation!.

When I plug it into my 2001 Dodge Ram 2500, the white lights do not turn off when the truck is turned off. What is the reason for this?.
So far, everything has gone well. It took me less than 5 minutes to put it together, it was simple to plug in and play, and it even came with adhesive tape. After reading other reviews, I would advise against overtightening the lens because it can easily break and cause moisture inside; however, I am satisfied with my purchase and believe it is a good value.

For about a year, everything was fine, but then the brake light stopped working. When I contacted the seller, they requested a photo, which I promptly provided. They never responded after that, so we had to request a refund from Amazon. The quality is poor.
Because it takes a lot of pressure to get full contact on the seal, make sure you use the screw washers provided. Also, get some foam anti-rattling tape for the connector, which isn't included. This is a wonderful improvement. My original was starting to show signs of deterioration.
