The Ram 2014 I use has the package installed. My installation of this program was four months ago, and I haven't faced any issues since. My first choice, and I was pleased with it. I have not tried any others.
Cutting off the resistor may not be a good idea. However, it seems that there is an issue with connectivity. There shouldn't be a light on all the time. You might want to check your connections
It might be worth checking the seal if it came with it. I also noticed that the little fitment tabs were slightly off on mine. This could prevent the seal from being effective. All I did was just break the tabs off and tighten the whole thing.
There is no reason to trigger an out of battery With this light, I'm able to see the road very well on my 2017 Ram Rebel

The product is perfect for what I needed, but not something I would purchase There are not many bright flashes of light, but this brake light serves its purpose. In large guest rooms, bed lights point straight up into the sky, and are thus worthless. This person is not bright in the least. There's more of a pleasant glow to it. I am not sure whether or not it would be recommended even in clear because it does not have white LEDs. It has a more decorative appeal than functionality and boasts a blue tint.
I would recommend it to anyone, worth the investment. We will see how it handles snow, rain, ect.
It is a little discouraging to me to see these lights on the market at this price, because I believe you get what you pay for, but man, these things are incredible. The sun is shining brightly! There is a lot of light on it when you are in reverse and it looks pretty good when mounted on the truck as well. A new update will come soon!.
On the 2012 Ram 1500, it was a plug and play installation without any problems. My passenger side post had to be cut off so that the light would be flush with the windshield. Moreover, I noticed that the white diodes for the bed light stay lit even after it has been turned It is simply due to the large capacitor in the light, after some minor experimentation. There are no battery drain issues yet, the voltmeter is showing a normal reading despite sitting for days.
As far as I could figure out, the only modification I had to make was to take out the posts on the back bottom corners, as they did not line up with those on my truck, and even if they did, it appears the light would not fit against the new gasket adequately. If the bed light is left on after the truck has been turned off for about 30 seconds, it will remain on for about 30 seconds. I think it looks cool when they are dimly lit when they run.
The LED one I replaced it with looks far better than OEM and the other LED one I replaced it with. I'm very happy with it and like its look.
There is no way to turn off the light. I am disappointed to the core. It seems to be getting power continuously for some reason. Such a cheap piece of work. I like it!.
During the day, it is hard to see the smoked lense that I got, but I don't think it is as bad as clear lense. There is a lack of light both on the cargo lights and the brake lights. There appear to be straight backward points on the cargo lights. I'm not very satisfied with this.
