Thanks for visiting. A Suppressor is ideal when you need control of radiant heat as well as sound. The foil surface provides direct protection to the polyethylene film as well as from radiant heat up to 2000 Degrees F and direct temperatures up to 300 Degrees Whether you need to paint firewalls, floorboards, or doors, these products are great. In addition to its 7 mil thickness, the suppressor contains a high temperature adhesive backing, and can be easily trimmed &amp folded It fits. Thank you, Jamie
The interior doors on my 1997 F350 were lined with the product about 6 months ago and I still do not smell anything from the product. I don't recall any smells during installation.
I think it's true, but it's an aggressive adhesive that's not going to come off easily. It is possible that it will break the window when removed.
We do not recommend the use of the doghouse's exterior facing the engine. * Please contact ThermoTec using the contact form in the website. You can give us more details about your project by contacting us at .

The transmission tunnel sound deadening material I used in the OEM part of the vehicle was replaced by this. The cover extended back up to the front of the firewall and all the way to the end of the tranny. The engine and transmission were able to be reinstalled with a lot of room due to this. In addition, it appears to be a cleaner design. There is a louder and cooler sound in the cabin now. Honestly, this product has been great for me. It is easy to install, conforms to all the bumps in the tunnel, and I also purchased tape to help seal the liner when I need to slit it and mold it. In six months (after the rebuild), everything on the building still works fine. I cleaned the metal very well for the installation, applied the Thermo Tec 12005 adhesive, and then pressed the material against the metal with a roller. If you prepare it correctly, it should hold up.
For my Canam commander plastic cab, I used this to cut down on the noise and heat.
Heat is also not very resistant to it. Make sure you do your homework before you buy. It adheres very well. Does relatively little to no work for dampening sound. Might block heat well, but does little to nothing for sound control. This is a very thin piece of paper. *Edit
the material got hot a couple of times, the adhesive began to melt and drip all over the place. Additionally, it is virtually impossible to get off of it. Since then, whenever I run the machine I smell burnt rubber and get a lot of smoke. All I have to do is wait until the snow melts or burns away. Hopefully it won't catch on fire. The material does a poor job of dampening sound, and also seems to be very heat resistant. I find this product to be absolutely horrible.
This is the material I bought in order to cover the ground of my Jeep so that it would not become too hot. Working is a waste of time. Even though my feet get hot, I still get blisters. It's a very disappointing experience.
To prevent my paint from fading away, I put it under the hood of my viper since I got a carbon fiber hood. If I touch the top of where I put the pieces on the back side and the hood, I can tell that it keeps Con The glue they use can not handle high temperatures and it starts to melt and drip all over my engine. The pieces of the engine start to sag over time, and I have to keep pushing them back up. There needs to be an adhesive that does not.
The plywood engine cover was covered with this insulation on both sides. This reduces the amount of noise generated by diesel engines. Additionally, there is almost no gain in heat. The bedroom would take several hours to cool down before the insulation was added - every time we arrived at our destination, it required several hours of air conditioning. This is not the case -the material is quite durable and the adhesive is quite strong There has been no deterioration of the insulation applied to the bottom (facing the engine) due to the heat exposure. The skin does not sag or discolor It's been nearly 6,000 miles since we left. Despite purchasing enough to cover both the bottom and top with the leftover pieces, I was able to cover most of the middle of the top with them. The product is fantastic!.
Upon arrival, it was in good condition. In addition to reducing heat and sound, I used it to cover the F450 RV engine. This building has many curves and corners, which made covering it challenging, but there was more than enough material to get the job done. It was noticeable how much the sound was being dampened. Although I haven't yet tested it on the road during hot weather, I'm confident that it will effectively reduce the heat in the cab One thing that I think would have been nice is the inclusion of a cheap roller. You've got some really good stuff there!.
A Can Am Commander UTV's engine cover and console were covered with this product. In addition, there is a noticeable reduction in heat as well as noise. I was able to cut and fit the product easily There seems to be a lot of adhesive on the back. The wrap where it's installed on the cab under the exhaust port of the CVT, in the interior of the tunnel opening, and around the tunnel opening has been pressure washed several times now without any foil lifting. Using the foil under the console for a month means there are no issues with the foil lifting. A small amount of this package could probably be used to construct two Commander consoles, or enough material could be used to build a console and put part below the cargo bed heat shield on one machine.
