That would be about the thickness of four copy paper sheets of 20 lb each. Without any problem, it was able to fit under all panels. I don't think you will have any trouble with it.
This noise is caused by raindrops hitting the ceiling or roof. What type of car are you referring to? When a house or a home is involved, yes it will also dampen noise coming from above, if it is applied to a substantial portion of the ceiling or surface area. If you need this for a house, it could get pricey considering the cost of Dynamat. You might want to consider a cheaper alternative from Home Depot to Dynamat.
However, it is not likely that this would not work for this purpose, even though it was not originally intended for this use. It would be more effective if the door were metal, but as long as the surface is clean, then it would work. If you are rolling it in with a rubber roller, be sure to use a hard one. We need to take this step right now. This can also be doubled up with another layer or added to their other products if it is not effective enough. It will hopefully be of some help!

There's no real way to compare the silver stuff to how this works since I have never seen anyone use it in moderation, always a full coat and usually with photos As I was using both MLV and CCF, I chose the lighter material so I was unable to compare them side by side. In my case, I used the 25-percent recommendation Combined with MLV and CCF, I achieved a solid 8 dB reduction in my exhaust note, which had been turned into a thunderous boom by my hatchback. I doubt I could say how helpful each item is on its own since I don't think it will work together. I applied it with ease, and the metal panels became dull thuds instead of clanky rings. It's intended to do nothing more than that.
The product is great, and did what it was supposed to do, however its weight was heavier than I expected, although it is a As a whole, I'm not sure how I feel about this. Due to the time and effort that it requires to take out carpets and roll this stuff in, and the weight added, it might be more beneficial to consider alternatives. There might be options available to cancel noise as well as stiffen the chassis, for instance frame braces, depending on the car.
That's the best product! I ordered more to do my truck's other doors and part of the floor. This also worked to get rid of the drone in my mustang. The floor of the trunk was covered so it now sounds more like an empty trunk (empty trunks are noisy due to road noise and exhaust sound).
have been using Dynamat since I started working with automotive stereos in the 1990s and now it still works well.
You should get some of this stuff. My Scion TC is completely insulated with the insulation I purchased. Once you have this stuck inside and can compare it with the hollow sound of a car, you realize what a hollow sound it is. The thunk my door and side panels make is a mere shadow of the awful PLANG my car made before it was fitted with It won't break the bank, but it takes a bit of elbow grease to make my car look like this Insulated as a high-performance material Luxurious automobile at the top end of the market. It is easy to see the difference.
I like it! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FOR MY APPLICATION, since it worked very well for me!.
It is a little difficult to install, so take your time. It is a great product. You will notice a noticeable difference in the sound within your vehicle once you use the rollers purchased. Take your time on the installation and use the rollers to aid the process. The wheels were used on a Dodge diesel 4x4 truck in 1993. We are very happy with our purchase and highly recommend it!.
