Questions & Answers

Can you tell me how thick this item is?

There isn't much of a thickness to it, maybe a quarter The unit was installed on the truck and then we prepared and installed the original vinyl floor covering and then the carpet on top - we were able to bolt everything down to the floor without any issues. I have never seen a product so amazing and quieted down our noisy truck to Cadillac levels.

For my 1964 Chevrolet C10, I want to cover the cab firewall, the cab floor, the back wall of the cab, and maybe the doors. Can you tell me how much I ?

To find out how many square feet you need, you need to measure

My 93 Chevy Caprice needs a complete overhaul. What should I expect to spend?

The boxes I got for my regular cab truck are 2 boxes each.

What would be the number of these I would need to replace a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee's roof, all doors, back hatch, and ?

Depending on your needs, you might need two The roof and four doors of a small cargo van were done using one pack of tarpaulins

I like it a lot

If you decide to buy sound deadener, don't skimp. You should check out this stuff. A heat gun isn't required for the sticks. Under the hot sun, it does not spread. A deadener that takes up nearly twice the space of competing products. In the past, I've tried other products, thinking I could save some money, only to realize I needed to spend so much more and also needed to use an intense heat gun, which was time consuming and frustrating. With this stuff, you won't hear any rattle in your stereo when you upgrade. This is the one thing you can do to keep rattles at bay. If you are not satisfied with the price, then save your money.

Warning It is recommended that you use both the roller and a good razor blade otherwise you will have cuts on your hands since cutting the aluminum top is very dangerous.

Dynamat has definitely made a big difference for me, and I would totally recommend it to anyone
5/5

Dynamat has shown its worth over and over again, despite its high price. As you can see, I have removed the door panels and have covered both the inside and outside of the house In addition to dynamatting the whole back upholstery behind the seats of my single cab truck. I have noticed a huge difference at a much lower volume since installing my stereo.

Dynamat has made a world of difference for me and I highly recommend it to anyone.

A 1999 GMC Sierra 1500 was equipped with this part
4/5

Sound is deadened by Dynamat as it is a great product. The only place I put it was in the doors so I don't know if it really quiets anything down for real. My truck has plenty of rust, so when the truck shakes, air runs through the body creating noise. However, I like how it made the door panels make a much more dull sound, which I'm sure minimizes a lot of road noise. It was not common for the truck to have vibrations at all from the start. Not only are my speakers low powered, but I also don't have any amplified or subwoofer equipment to make any unnecessary noise. There was some vibration coming from the rear doors, but that could be due to how I mounted the aftermarket speakers, which I changed and screwed to the door panels. The 36 square foot space is divided into two parts. With the feet included in the package, I was able to complete both front doors (inner and outer skins) and about 75% of a rear door (the inner is completed, but the outer needs work). Considering I used about 1 door skin for one of the doors, I'm assuming if you just did the outer door skin, you could do all four doors. For each door, there are two sheets The inner room is 2 and the inner room is The outer two). Almost all of the inner door skin and most of the outer door skin were covered. The maximum effect can be had with far less than I used, but I wanted to go full bore since I was already If you want to succeed, all you need to do is go big, In addition to being extremely sticky, Dynamat has a squishy backing that keeps it stuck to the panel very well, while also allowing you to pull it up easily to move it around (as long as you haven't pressed it Outside of the package is a fairly thick layer of thermal foil that is durable, extremely strong, and can be cut and shaped easily There were some spots on the foil where the foil could not conform, so it ripped some but the sticky backing still kept it in place. You would be able to work with smaller pieces if you used smaller ones. My goal was to cover the door with as many large pieces as possible. There is a very strong paper backing and it is of good quality, making the removal of it quite easy. You may notice that the dynamat is a lot more rigid when it has a paper backing on it as opposed to without one. It is important to note that one should be cautious when using a long piece that works, as removing the backing could make the material flimsy. While installing the Dynamat, make sure to check the spots that can cause problems. When dynamat is installed alone you shouldn't have many issues, but when is dynaliner (1/8") is installed on top such as I did you might have clearance issues. (The front door panels were not able to be installed because of this). When I cut pieces out, I used scissors, but I used a razor blade for the holes in the The interior door panel (or pieces of it) were also covered with pieces to eliminate any vibrations that may be present in it. There are pictures of both the front passenger door and the rear passenger door attached to this message. The thermal properties were also achieved by layering dynaliner on top of the dynamat. Also, it cleaned up the installation quite a bit. It is true that I did not take pictures of each step. Similarly, I carried out each door in a different way with different techniques. My opinion is that smaller pieces are easier to manage but you must play games since you need to cut and assemble more pieces. Usually larger pieces will help things go faster, but if they need to be cut out or moved for whatever reason, it can be challenging. This part would have been used in a 1999 GMC Sierra Extended.

Brands with a lower price can be found
5/5

A lot of options are available for this type of product. I thought about going with a cheaper alternative but ultimately decided against it. The process of putting all this stuff down is not fun, and you don't want to have to do it again. When the rubber is hot, it oozes out into the air and leaves the room smelling bad. Having said that, this is the one I selected. All the floors in my hot rod were done. The price is out of reach for most people, but the product usually delivers on the promises made. It is the material used by all professional builders. The product I purchased is exactly what I wanted.

The installation of this system is my second in two vehicles. The bag of chips is all that is left. Noise and heat are kept.

It's amazing how much difference there is! After adding this to the interior of our truck, we noticed an immediate improvement in our driving experience
5/5

There was little dialogue before the carpet was added because of the ambient noise. Now you can barely hear each other without it. The interior interior upgrades will make it even better, and I am anxiously awaiting the final outcome.

The work is perfect, but it is not your usual use

There is a very loud brand new hot water boiler in my home used for both summer and winter. In my enclosure, the dynamat was applied all along the interior and it significantly reduced noise levels. Excellent product!.

I plan to install it in my RV (Ford 450 chassis) to reduce the weight
5/5

It seems to have worked well in my RV (Ford 450 chassis) to reduce noise and heat from the engine. We put the thick Dynamat foam over it, then laid new flooring The book is very much worth the money.
