Insulate your van as much as possible
5/5

Insulate your van as much as possible. It was worth the price, and I ordered a second roll of 20 feet for my 130-foot transit vehicle. While waiting for more to arrive, it's already noticeable that there has been a difference halfway through the installation. The state of not being The fact that they're nontoxic is also a.

The soundproofing and insulation made my Crosstrek more comfortable
5/5

In order to make my Subaru Crosstrek more like a luxury vehicle and to make it easier for me to camp in it, I upgraded its interior. The same methods as I have used in many van builds were used, first deadening the metal surfaces with butyl tape To stop structure-borne noise, use a noico-based dampener (in this case) In addition to reducing sound transmission and thermal conduction, we use Thinsulate on top of that for sound reduction and The properties of Thinsulate make it impossible to absorb water and it can be compressed to fit uneven contours, which makes it the most suitable material for cars. Upon attachment of the Thinsulate to the roof, the scrim side was oriented downward towards the interior, in accordance with the manufacturers' recommendation. Besides my doors and rear trim panels, the scrim side of the scrim overlay was adhered to the panel itself so the white side was still facing outward. As soon as I was done with the roof, the car seemed noticeably quieter in cabin when the engine was The day of the year). The car I saw was silver, and I saw temperatures of about 122 degrees on the bare metal. I measured temperatures in the low to mid 90s after installing the Scrim insulating material, so there was definitely a noticeable As soon as I had just completed the roofing, I saw how easy the air conditioner was to run Usually, I have to turn it down after a few minutes to prevent it from cooling down too quickly. In general, the car does seem quieter than usual so far. The sound might not be as loud as Cadillac noise, but it's In my opinion, it does convey a higher level of sophistication However, we're still looking at the end car. There might be some sound flowing through my car now because I used deadening, but deadening by itself does not stop airborne noise. Now that the car is so soundproof, I notice most of the outside noise travels

This stuff is definitely worth checking out. In order to finish my rear doors and cargo area, I will buy an additional 10' roll. As a result, I regret not having bought the 20' roll at the outset.

We used excellent insulation for building out our camper van
5/5

To insulate our Ford Transit camper van build out, we used this in combination with Reflectix. The product is perfect for the application. I highly recommend it. Attaching it to the inside of the vehicle was accomplished with spray adhesive, then the material was cut and stuffed into all the vehicle's ribs. This combination of the reflectix layer and the result is a van that can be slept in regardless of the weather, even in 30 degree weather with no heating.

It is very easy to install and is very safe
5/5

It will be used to insulate a Chevy Express Extended Passenger Van Conversion installed in 2018. The SM400L (30' x 60") length was sufficient for the side panels, roof, roof skirts, barn doors sides and the back with plenty left over to complete the There was nothing we did not insulate in the roof area of the cab and either or both driver's and passenger's doors, although we still had enough insulation to do this. To make cutting the Thinsulate lots easier, we purchased a pair of Offset Jobsite Scissors. Interested parties can access the link by clicking here In the beginning, we marked the pieces to be cut with tailor chalk, but later discovered that a non-erasable red felt pen worked best. We also decided to abstain from using the spray adhesive product that most people use to attach the Thinsulate. When we brainstormed alternatives we decided to use a Hot Glue Gun and it was a great solution. Having cut the piece to fit, we would place about three to six drops of hot glue on the bottom edge of the Thinsulate, and hold it there for about 15 seconds. As we worked our way up, we held the piece in place for 20 seconds and worked our way up 3 to 6 inches at a time. Please take note The glue is very hot, so take care not to touch it. Our roof was covered using the same method as the rest of the van. Those of you wondering if it will hold are in luck, it holds very well! I worked on a 6 in it and it held fine. It took us five hours to drive to National Park without ever covering the Thinsulate with panels first, and not one piece came loose. In the attached picture, we can see the tires that are being insulated on the driver's side of the wheels. You should not throw away the scraps. You can use them to fill voids all over your vehicle. We did not produce any waste. Our van was equipped with everything we needed. Another positive item I'd like to point out is that the product expanded considerably beyond 3/4" and provided amazing Using a Hot Glue Gun to attach the product is a plus which prevents us from breathing in harmful fumes caused by spray adhesive. The product, in my opinion, makes a great insulation tool, easy to install, and the product is easy to use.

This product is an excellent buy
5/5

I purchased it for a 2000 Honda CRV. It was used as a trim above the headliner and behind the quarter panels. This makes a huge difference in road noise. I can now hear how noisy my tires really Applying the 3M 90 spray glue to the 1 inch single scrim was easy with the 1 inch single scrim version. There is no need to worry about this product damaging the headliner because it is very light in weight. There is quite a bit left over, and it will be used to sound deaden the door panels after some butyl sound insulation is applied. In addition to using noico 80 mil on the project, I also used morph 80 mil, but the two are not intended for the same tasks and enhance one another. If you mind, it arrived on time in a plastic bag that left the contents easily visible and clearly labelled (but well protected) if you care about that sort of thing.

A comfortable space can be made with more than enough furniture
5/5

Exactly what is needed to keep a sedan's main interior completely warm. The rest of the trunk was even covered with it. 3M 90 Adhesive Spray makes it easy to cut and stick. It wasn't hard to apply adhesive spray, but once it was stuck, it was done. It is too late to turn In Florida, I noticed a noticeable drop in sound level, as well as an improvement in the interior temperature while I drive.
