The latches are of poor quality. ONE OF THE RUBBER CATCHES SNAPPED AFTER TWO WEEKS! ****UPDATE***
HORRIBLE! br>br>These hood latches aren't very good. It makes no difference what kind of Jeep I have (it says these are compatible), the latches themselves are of poor quality. They're sloppy and don't fit together well when latched, causing the hood to wobble in the first place. I would return them if I didn't have an immediate need for them on my Jeep.
There's a lot of slack in the system. This is not a good design. I was unable to tighten or adjust the item properly, so I requested a return and am now waiting for the seller's approval.
They barely keep the hood in place. I need to replace them because they aren't even tight enough, and my hood shakes when I drive on the highway.
It's a bit frail. The latching prongs are quite flimsy, and I have to force them in place otherwise one side or the other will try to slip out.
They have an excessive amount of slack in their system. At highway speeds, Hoods swerves around a lot. I'll get rid of them as soon as possible.
So far, everything has gone well. Because the one on there snapped during a road trip, put these on a 16 Jeep Wrangler. It's been there for a couple of months at this point. There were no problems, and it was simple to set up.
They're a joke. They don't have very good straps to keep the hood in place, and the bottom of the hood does not line up with the top.
Because the gap isn't quite wide enough, they keep slipping to one side or the other when I latch them.
