When the grill is installed, it fits perfectly and looks great from the outside, but there is a large gap between the back of the grill and the weather liner on the inside. Rainwater can run right behind it and into the bumper as a result of this. Because the OE part is deeper, this will not happen. I'm not sure what the long-term consequences will be, so I returned the product and replaced it with one that adheres to the OE depth standard.

Wow. So, I was a little skeptical at first due to the price, but these grille replacements are fantastic. I have a F15 BMW X5 and, while they aren't the "perfect fit," they are very convincing and install quickly (about 15 minutes from start to finish). To free up the bumper, you'll need a Torx T30 bit and plenty of beer. A dealership will charge you $300 to do the same thing, which you can do yourself for much less money. Save your cash. This is what you need.

I watched a few YouTube videos, but removing the original grills was still a challenge. I took the chrome outer bezel clips off the first grill I worked on. Then I realized there was another black insert (vertical lines) that needed to be taken out as well. Believe me when I say you'll get a sense of it. Simply take your time; on the second grill, I simply removed the black inner grill, and both the chrome and black inserts came out as one, making the process much easier. Due to your learning curve, the second will be easier regardless of how you do it. It took me an hour to complete the task. If you're on the fence, just do it. I really like the black grill, and the product was exactly as advertised and looks great. You're going to adore the new look. Because our X5 has the M Sort package, this grill goes perfectly with the side window trim, which is black gloss rather than chrome like most X5s.

I was hoping to fall in love with this item. When I went to click it into place on my 2017 BMW X5, the black gloss finish looked great. Two of the clip spots were not able to be clicked into place. It looked great, but it wasn't securely fastened into place, which was a disappointment. Even worse, removing it will be a hassle because you won't be able to get to the clips, so you'll have to disassemble other items to get to the back of the grill! When I took it out, the unit clips snapped, and it happened quickly because the plastic is so cheap. I'm not a fan of it at all. I returned mine, opting for the Autoteknic version due to the higher cost and OEM quality!.

The factory silver grills were a real pain to remove, but these new grills were a breeze to install. Take a look at the photo after the car has been washed. My X5 appears to be more sporty and aggressive. This is something I should've done a long time ago. It gives you more bang for your buck.

On a 2018 F15 X5 Xdrive35i, this is a perfect match. It appears to be fantastic. Once you've removed the original grills, it'll be simple to install.

On a 2017 BMW X5, this is a nice replacement for the stock grill. I wanted to replace the stock chrome bezel with a matte black all-black grille. It was a good fit and simple to put together. The most challenging part was removing the original grille (instructions on YouTube). This was simple to reinstall after it had been removed.

The new look is fantastic. My x5 looks fantastic with these new grilles. br>Gave a nice updated look, fit like OEM grilles, and was very easy to install after removing my old grilles.
