In my topper, I didn't need to drill any holes. Simply take out the old components and replace them with the new ones. It works and appears to be identical to the real thing.

Because there were no instructions, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to re-install the latch I had. Whether or not to use any of the pre-existing hardware is up to you. It turns out you don't need any of the old stuff, and having the ability to lock the back of my truck has been extremely convenient.

Perfect Fit The locking system on my Leer bed cap needed to be replaced, and this was a very simple solution. It took me about 30 minutes and only a few tools to complete. If you have even a smidgeon of mechanical aptitude, you will find this to be a simple task. It's well-made and works perfectly.

Good product, easy to install; simply remove any existing hardware and follow the on-screen instructions. Because this version is more streamlined than previous versions installed with the LEER canopy, there are no specific instructions required. This reduces the amount of hardware required.
