Questions & Answers

Is it compatible with the BMW 328i convertible from 2008?

As long as it's classified as an E93 model, it should be fine.

Is this compatible with a 2011 BMW M3, e93, s65?

Yes, it was a perfect fit for my 2007 BMW 335i e93. I bought this product twice: once because I didn't put it on the windshield correctly (my fault), and then again because it fits perfectly. I hope this has been of assistance.

Convertible BMW E93 328i from 2009
5/5

My front window molding was chipped and cracked and needed to be replaced, so this product was perfect. Taking the old one off is a pain. A word of advice: once you've removed all of the old molding, spray some goo all over the place where the old molding used to be. Allow to sit for a minute before removing all old adhesive and ensuring that all goo is removed. Clean any areas that need to be painted with rubbing alcohol, then let them dry after wiping away the alcohol. Then, without removing the stickers from the adhesive, place the molding in place, taking your time and being careful. Once the molding is in place and lined up properly, remove the strips from the adhesive and press down firmly all around. For me, it was a win-win situation. Wishing you all the best of luck! 5stars!.

All you'll need are three microfiber towels and some plastic card glass cleaner
5/5

It's the perfect fit. ideal for the coming year- A plastic card window cleaner and three microfiber cloths are all you'll need for your 2011 BMW 328i convertible E93. To remove the old rotting mold from the windshield and vehicle, you'll need a plastic card, such as an old credit card. Clean old adhesive and rotten molding with a windshield cleaner like Windex and a microfiber cloth, then install the new window trim mold first, then remove the adhesive protector.

Tool-free and extremely simple
5/5

installation time is reduced! My OEM BMW part arrived in an oversized box from BMW of San Francisco, preventing it from being bent during transit. br>br>Installation went without a hitch. Using windex and WD40, remove the old one by hand and clean up the residue. Beginning at the top corners, press the new trim into place. Pull the three tabs to reveal the adhesive and press firmly into place once everything is in place. br>br>My old trim had completely dried out. It only took me 45 minutes to complete the project, and it turned out beautifully!.

It's a huge improvement over the old, cracked trim, and it's well worth the money
5/5

I was a little hesitant about replacing the old, cracked trim on my 2007 335i convertible, but it had finally cracked to the point where I couldn't avoid it. First-rate product with first-rate shipping. It took me an hour to remove the old trim from the car and scrape it off. It's not difficult, but it is time consuming and messy. Pull the old seal out slowly and scrape the remaining chunks with a scraper. After that, employ Goof- The remaining adhesive strip will be dissolved and removed. Start inserting the new trim when all of the trim slots are clean. Before you remove the adhesive backing strips, double-check that all of the trim is in place. It appears to be more difficult than it was; simply take it slowly.

Good product, but it takes a long time to install properly on your own! This is a good product, but make sure you clean out any visible windshield adhesive in the grove where this seal is installed
4/5

Also, do not remove the adhesive until you have thoroughly tested this seal. It's best to remove one side at a time after they've been in place for a while. There are no instructions, so you must pay close attention to every detail.

This is something I should have purchased a few years ago
5/5

For a BMW OEM part, the price is reasonable, and the shipping was prompt. br>br>Using a plastic pry tool set, I was able to pull the old one out fairly easily, but it was a bit messy. Before getting it perfect and pulling the adhesive strip, the new one was fairly simple to seat in the groove. Now everything is as it should be! If you have old, flaky window trim, this product is highly recommended.

Easy Job
5/5

Before you buy, take a look at a video. You can do it, but the key is to properly remove the old rubber/sealant. br>br>I cleaned the old adhesive with alcohol [fuel], then cleaned the "groove" with a vinyl lettering squeegee wrapped in a micro towel and alcohol. Allow plenty of time for the paint to dry before moving on to the next step. br>br>Don't rush into installing the new one. The top corners aren't glued, so they need to be spaced evenly across the top of the windshield to lay flat. Approximately one hour. br>br> It helps if the weather is warm. br>br>The old one was rotting away. My 2007 has now taken on the appearance of a newer vehicle. br>br>BMW E93 Convertible Hardtop 2007 328i.

I wish it had stuck a little better, but that's probably my fault
4/5

It was fairly simple to install and looks much better. The old stuff was a nightmare to get rid of, but it was relatively simple to do so. This one fit in nicely, but I had some installation problems on the first side I tried, and the end result is. I ended up with a few bubbles where the sticky strip wouldn't stay in place. The second side went in much more smoothly and appears to be in good working order. It was also difficult to get it to sit correctly in the first corner. Overall, it was a simple swap that served its purpose. This is a fantastic DIY project that I highly recommend. I believe it would be beneficial if they included a plastic tool that could be used to push this into the seam. I used a hex key that was about the right width and didn't leave holes when I poked it.
