It ought to function correctly. It's a bit nerve-wracking to install, but mine on an 02 Tundra has worked out perfectly.

I knew I needed to do something when my drivers side rear wing window began to open every other time I drove the truck. I expected a costly dealership repair or, at the very least, the need to purchase some overpriced Toyota replacement parts to fix the problem. Nope. These low-cost replacement parts worked perfectly, and swapping out the old ones took less than 5 minutes. The set includes a pin for driving out the old ones, which is a nice touch, and while I drove the pin out with a light ball peen hammer, it took very little effort to remove the old ones. It was as simple as pulling out the old and replacing it with the new, and that was the end of it. My window doesn't open on its own any longer. br>br>The fit and finish were nearly identical to the originals. I am very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend this part and vendor if you require these.
br>br>These look fantastic and perform admirably. Painted versions, such as the ones I got, had to be bored a little before they could be installed. A thin coat of paint is sufficient to reduce hole tolerance. In each hole, I used a 5/16" drill bit and PB penetrant for one pass. br>br>According to some reviews, the windows no longer close tightly or something along those lines. They were either installed incorrectly or have a different problem. They're also very affordable. br>br> This is a no-brainer.
It's fairly simple to set up. The simplest method is to look up a step-by-step video on YouTube. For the money, this is a fantastic purchase.
With a broken latch on my Tundra 2003, I probably spent less than a decade. It was simple to set up. To remove the old latch and replace it, I used a small hammer and the pins that they provided. When I was finished, I shut my door and double-checked that it was still shut. It works flawlessly! When I close the door, it remains locked and does not open.
I had to drill the holes larger in order to use the original spring pins. It was a fairly simple fix. I removed old links with a hammer on its side and a drift pin, then pushed pins back in with a channel lock.
Much better than the cheap plastic crap that came with the Toyota Tacoma in 2003. br>I easily pushed/tapped the roll pin out on both ends with a metal tap. br>It took me ten minutes to complete this task. After 5 years, I can finally use my windows again! They perform admirably. br>.
When removing old ones, be careful not to damage the window. The only gripe I have is that they aren't very good at keeping the windows shut all the way. They kind of let go when you hit a lot of bumps, like a really bumpy dirt road. They kind of let go when you hit a lot of bumps, like a really bumpy% I own a Tundra from 2001. Even if the window is left open, there is no slamming or flapping of the windows, and the windows are locked open.
Mine, for some reason, came in at 12 inches. Instead of 9, it'll be 5mm thick. As advertised, 6mm thick. This is clearly not going to fit, so it had to be returned. If it had been the right dimensions, it would have been fine.
