There is no glue for it to stay on the back window. It says you cannot use it on plastic and there wasn't a metal tab on the back window. I have to find something else to use but for now it looks locked, so I'm happy.

Replacement latch is a good choice. There are no suggestions on how to mount it. Having found the Double sided mounting tape very useful, I suggest that you try it.
