They are not, in my opinion. Quadratec sells what appear to be authentic ones for around $4 each. I bought these and they're great; I wasn't sure they'd work at first, but once you push them in, you'll hear them snap into place. They've never caused me any problems.
Yes, these are compatible with my 2001 model. Up until 2006, it was the same.
If my memory serves me correctly, it did fit my needs. One of them was in need of repair, so I took care of it and sold it.
These will fit a hole that is 1 1/4" in diameter on the inside.

How difficult is it to create a secure rubber plug? Upper Bound seems to be having a tough time. This is a very basic product that should not have any problems, but it does. When I go on Amazon to look for Jeep parts, I look for items that say they fit my specific model. This is pretty much universal for all Jeeps, and it should just snap into place like the factory ones. NOPE! This simply sits on top of the hole. It's not even close to snapping into place. That is to say, it isn't even close. Your only task was to make your product fit into a hole. You wouldn't be able to do it. Regardless of how inexpensive it is, I do not recommend this product.
I used these to cover the holes up to the bedline, then replaced them with the 14-year-old OEMs. Unless you're desperate, I wouldn't recommend it, and even then, I'd rather tape over it.
The rubber is oversized and does not provide any type of seal on a 2005 Jeep Wrangler TJ Unlimited, so it will not fit.
I was able to determine that these would be a good fit for replacing the floor plugs in my Miata's trunk thanks to the product specifications on the listing. The plug under the battery, as well as the two rearward units in the spare tire well, were all replaced. They're simple to install, but make sure the flange underneath is fully extended before proceeding. br>br>They arrived on time and in good condition; I have no complaints!.
I have a 97 Jeep Wrangler and I'm missing plugs everywhere except the drivers side, and these were SUPPOSED to fit, but they don't. The space is far too small. They're not just a little loose or barely fit; it's as if someone forgot to punch in a whole number when making them. Awful product.
I'm not sure why half of the reviews say they don't fit; mine did, but I had to press around the edges a little to ensure they popped in tight. It looks fantastic!.
These were purchased to plug two holes in a Jeep that had lost their plugs. The originals (on the right) are significantly more robust, heavier, and thicker, as shown in the photos. These new plugs, on the other hand, fit into the hole perfectly, snap into place, and stay put. Only time will tell if this new plug can withstand the normal heat of everyday use, as it is located just above the exhaust heat shield.
My Jeep Wrangler Sahara is a 1998 model. I bought these and was initially disappointed because they didn't fit, but after reading other reviews, I discovered that you have to press in the middle of them to get them to fit. They work well in my opinion, but if you plan on mudding and being a little rough, I wouldn't recommend it because they will most likely come out.
