I don't know if the 1/4 pans are 22 gage like the half pans empi sells, but the half pans are 22 gage, so I'm not sure if the 1/4 pans are 22 gage
The parts might work on a 71- I still love the 72 super, but the 73 and 74 aren't the same My own issue is that I am also in the market for a '74 super pan and they are around $90 wherever I search. The pan would probably work if you trimmed and welded it in, but it would not be the correct shape

I asked if it would fit a Super Beetle in contact with the seller. As far from the truth as it was possible to be. In some circumstances, sheet metal could be used just like.
It covers about 40 percent of the pan and extends about two inches past the ends As expected, I was surprised by the thickness of the metal. As a result, the battery may sit a little higher than it should, as it is not as deep as the original pan. All in all, we are pleased with the outcome.
These pans are a good quality one and a low-quality one. I bought two pieces of the same type, one of which arrived in good shape and the other was half the size. In addition, they used thinner metal and their stamping was not as good as the others.
There is no way it can even come There's going to be a lot of cutting and beating, and still it might not fit.
I didn't have to trim this too much, it was great.
I ordered a 69 and it worked as advertised.
It does not fit at all, and the body shop says it should be returned.
I like it.
