Although they look the same as the Dodge, Ram, or Jeep ones, they perform worse. It takes longer than usual for stems to break off, or they don't break off at all in some cases. Since the real ones are outrageously expensive and harder to come by, these are likely an acceptable substitution for most people, just be aware that you'll probably have to trim the stems.
My 2011 fender was broken in a few places, so I ordered these to replace some of the rivers that connected the inner lining to the outer lining. There are fewer of them (the head and washer) than the factory ones and they can't be used on I went to harbor freight to purchase the rivet tool, and they sell a set for $18 that comes with 4 different rivet sizes (one of which was the exact same size as the factory rivet). If I had known that information beforehand, I would not have chosen.
You should be aware that the head size is smaller than OEM if you are using the product on a Jeep or Chrysler. While they are worth a great deal and appear to be well made, they differ in some ways. The first time I used 4 on my Grand Cherokee's fender flares, I thought it was better than 3. It is not a big deal or worth the effort to pull them out, but I wish I had noticed before installation.
I'll take 50 of each, ha ha ha! After doing some work behind the wheel well of my 2018 JL Wrangler, I needed around 20 of them. As with the OEM, these are the same.
Rivit components are identical to those used by OEMs. There is a $3 charge from the dealership. I was shocked to hear they were being charged 50 each. There was a need to purchase a different riveter for these plastic rivets, but I found one at Harbor Fright that was not expensive and I bought this for a great price!.
I'm going to widen the holes just a bit. Nevertheless, it worked as expected, just make sure that you have a plastic rivet tool.
My 2014 Grand Cherokee was not an exact match for these, but they did the job. I also had to purchase the special pot rivet tool made for plastic rivets for a very long time.
A rivet with this small diameter won't fit under Jeep fender liners and its shoulders are thin compared to Jeep parts, so it won't fit snugly under Jeep fender liners. The quality of your purchase is determined by the price you pay.
