I was very impressed with the quality of this product. The place where the hole was placed was perfect. The set is pretty similar to OEM, so I really can't tell the difference. With that said, I want to say. . There is a lot of work involved in installing these. I do not blame the product for this. Rather, it is just the nature of the beast. The hardest part is peeling off the old ones. A couple of locations are hard to reach when it comes to attaching hardware. Get yourself a Ratchet Wrench before it's too late. A box end wrench is all I needed to get the job done. I managed to do it, but it was You will need to spend some time. Also, try not to strip anything out, or you will face drilling out screws. The Hardware kit has all the mounting hardware I need to replace all the mounting hardware. If you need everything, you might be able to find it at your local hardware store. So after 6 hours of cursing and tossing tools, I finally got this done. Does it make sense to pay? Yes, of course! Exactly what I was looking for! They fit perfectly My Jeep had faded white chaff on the old Fender trims when I bought it. The sun will fade them out over time so you know they will fade. My fingers are crossed! I have started using the 303 Aerospace Protectant right out of the box. If you don't mind a little work and want to replace your fender trim, then go for it. You should not hesitate to buy this product. Almost a year later and none of the colors have faded. I like that it's black and still looks nice. In addition, every time I wash the jeep, I spray 303 Aerospace Protectant on these parts.
This kit transformed my 2002 Jeep Wrangler into a new one, for a great price. Installing new hardware can be difficult when removing the old, be sure to spray everything with a penetrating lubricant beforehand.
While the fit is slightly tight, they fit, and the flares sit flush with the sheet metal, so there was no issue. It is an almost exact match to the factory parts in terms of texture and color. For most screws, you'll need an 8mm ratcheting wrench. There are only a few screw heads where you can use a conventional ratchet and socket or air ratchet. In the case of running factory hardware in good condition, there is no need to purchase the separate hardware kit. It'll take a little work to pull out the plastic clips that are used with the self-tapping screws from behind the rear wheel well liners, but you shouldn't have too much trouble getting the liner out.
Just like the originals, they look just like them. It takes a couple of hours to install them, but they are simple to use As much as possible, you should use a ratcheting wrench. In the event that they begin to fade, I'll be sure to update this review.
The star rating is now four. It was the perfect fit. There are no alterations to their appearance. According to my estimation, they are exactly what they claim. On 06 September 2017, here is an update I'LL do that. Each of the rocker panel trim pieces has the following features I rather suddenly got a text message Having turned an ashen gray color. I do not know why or how such a sudden change occurred. I'm a bit peeved, to be honest. I downgraded my rating to 4 stars either in reaction to the gray color or possibly to the natural light in my hand.
There is no instruction manual or hardware included in this kit. It is a good idea to search online for product instructions (just search for the product on another site until you find one with It might be possible to reuse the hardware if our jeep can take it. It was easy to install the fronts and extensions. In the rear, it gets a little tough. It was not the whole wheel well cover I dropped, just the two rubber inserts in front of the flare bolts. There are holes in the flare for these to go through, they are both along the wheel There is no way that you can Put them back in place with a flat tip after they've been removed. Give yourself some room with a wedge, or everything will go on your fingers, and it will be You'll have to jam something into the polymer inserts in order to hold the plastic nut to finish threading them. Otherwise, you'll make new threads in the inserts and have to make threads in the inserts. Since I'm mechanically inclined and took about two hours to do, it should not be too hard for me to Even though it wasn't easy, it wasn't too hard. In the end, they look awesome, so I'm glad I managed to do Be sure to twist and pull out your turn signal light from your front amber lenses (which you have to reuse as well). In my opinion, the product is worth the price.
I couldn't be happier with these. A professional installation was carried out by the technicians I work for at a new car dealership. Taking the rear wheels off took about two hours. You need to remove the fender skirts to get to the nuts and bolts, but the task was not difficult. After taking them out of the box, they start to warp, so give them some time to warm up in the sun and then they will work great.
Whether it will withstand the elements will be determined with time, but so far, it seems to be holding up well. The most important thing about it is how well it fits!.
