mostly factory-like
4/5

With painted front bumpers, the appearance is not as good as it could be. I am reviewing the flares I received in January 2020, and the installation onto my 2016 Ram Crew Cab Express Hemi 4x4 that I carried out in March.

To summarize, as you can tell from the pictures, they look decent, and look a lot like factory-built products. There was no need to remove/move the badges or to notch the flares in order to fit around anything, so that was fantastic. In the case of painted bumpers (like I have on my "Express" package), the front flare looks a bit unattractive. As for my flares, I left them as they were There isn't much to stand out there, because the matte color is relatively dark and almost black) don't have a lot of contrast, but as you can see, the front edge of the flare ends about half-way up It would probably look better/fit better on trucks that have There are lots of reviews complaining about the lack of instructions, but I can live with it on my truck. I would be more bothered if it were a lighter or brighter color truck, like white or red. I recommend that you ignore part of the instructions, if not all of them, that came with mine. In my instructions, I stated that you should only remove the factory bolts (that secure the plastic inner splash shield to the inside of the flares) that align with where you will drill holes in the flares, and to leave all This is a problem, why is that? As soon as you apply the adhesive tape, those flares will become impossible to remove (easily), and then you won't be able to remove the plastic splash guard later on, since the bolts are trapped under the flare instead of passing I drilled the flares in exactly the same place as all the factory bolts, in spite of the instructions. The result was that I was really well-prepared for my exams The flare was attached, and the fit was good all Before buying them, I read some of the reviews and learned that you should fully remove the plastic splash shield first. I can't imagine a bad suggestion. The "nuts" into which the factory fender bolts attach are actually located within the plastic As a result, the bolt is designed to go through the metal fender and screw into the clamp. It is attached to the splash shield by a nut. You have to remove the flares' bolts, then install them back into the holes you will drill into the flares, then reinstall the bolts into the bolt holes on the splash shield, then back into the metal fenders. When you remove that splash shield, you're left with a flare, holes in the fender, and the splash shield to make sure that the holes are lined up In the event that you leave the splash shield in place, the shield and the fender are aligned, which makes aligning the flare a simple task. If you are restoring a totaled Jeep as a hobby, you have probably removed more plastic splash shields than you care to count, so don't make it harder on yourself than it needs to be. And finally, the white foam was glued to the underside of my I would recommend leaving those on while you test fit everything, even though you will have to take them off before final installation so that you will not scratch the paint of your truck with the hard plastic edge when you install them. In addition to protecting the paint, the foam sticks a little out beyond the mounting surface of the flare. This was a nice bonus - I'm not sure if the manufacturer glued them on, or if it was just to protect them in shipping. The final product seems to be the right one for me, and I think they do a good job.

I think they turned out great at this price (before and after pictures)
5/5

This RAM Crew Cab 5'7" is brand new and in great condition. The installation process is straightforward. Fender is already fastened with screws, so remove them now. Prepare flares with holes in accordance with the markings. If you would like to use the entire hole pattern in the fenders, then you will need to use stock screws and additional screws. At a hardware store, I bought an extra set of screws and clips. Earlier, it was on the flares, too, so I used the 3M stick-ons. Their installation was easy and the result is excellent. A full set of flares and fenders without gaps. The service was excellent, and I do not have any complaints. Keeping mine flat black was all I had to do. The price makes it a very good purchase.

Over $400 in savings was achieved by doing the installation You don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand this
5/5

The Dodge Ram 1500 four door my husband bought in December is a 2016 model. Took our truck to an accessories store and got a quote for I discovered these and ordered them because I saw they would be easy to install. I can't believe the difference they make with a truck that was less than 6 months old and already getting scratches around the I am sure one would be able to install it as well, but it is much easier with two. We took several hours because it took us so long to work on it, and we bought push in fasteners for the front fenders at the store. In the process of installing it, none of us even killed each other. There is an opening in the lower two front tires that screws won't fit through and we wanted to ensure a tight fit so we bought push in fasteners and they worked flawlessly. I find peeling the adhesive liner back to be the most difficult part. Prior to fastening everything, be sure to get them all started. In the third one we learned to peel back a little on each strip before fastening because it was too tight to fit our hands in. A pre-drilled hole does not exist On the fenders, there are holes, but they are marked as well. Pay attention to the markings on the fenders as well.

It is a good idea to take out the fender wells at the rear
5/5

The fender flares do what they are supposed to. I bought these to fix small rust bubbles underneath the paint on the rear fenders of my 2011 Ram, and they're well made at an affordable price. This truck has the same problem as my 2006, but I traded it in for this one. It would be easier to install the vehicle if the rear fender wells were removed. My fenders are covered in rust neutralizer sprayed on the back side to prevent the rust from getting The middle hole at the top should be left open so water can drain. In order to make the flares fit snugly around the back of the seats, I needed to trim around the back. Towards the rear of the fender, there's a plastic trim piece that prevents the flare from fitting tightly. In addition to the plastic trim piece, the flares on the front have to contend with a piece of plastic This piece didn't need to be there, so I removed it. There's no need to trim the flare around it if you don't want to but that's your choice. In most cases, other fender flares cost a lot more. You have to drill the holes yourself, but that's not very difficult. As you can see, the rear flares are fairly close to the premarked locations. Although the edges do not differ, the fronts do. Take your time, put the truck on jackstands, and remove the wheels to make it easier to work on.

You will look and feel great in them
5/5

There is a 2019 1500 classic in this picture. My opinion is that there is a perfect fit and finish, and the flares look as though they came that way right out of the factory! It may be a little awkward to follow the instructions, but if you have experience working on cars, you'll be fine. The factory fender liner on the back of the truck is held in by three screws on each side, and the flares didn't come with corresponding holes. As written in the instructions, you should leave those screws in place, but if you leave them in place, the screws will be hidden under the flare, so if you need to remove the liner, you must remove the flare as well. Therefore, I chose to drill holes in the flares which lined up with these screws so none of the screws would be caught It was easy to modify, and I am quite pleased with the.
