It is true. This past weekend, I replaced the OEM radiator fans and shrouds on my 1996 Miata with this, and it fit perfectly on top of If you change only the passenger-side seat, all that's left is to replace the driver's side seat It is necessary to attach the driver's side connector of your OEM fan to the Mishimoto fan as I had to do. The connector fit perfectly on my OEM fan.
The first step to resolving cooling issues is to do something about it. This was the new fans I bought but I decided to replace them with some from my There didn't seem to be enough air movement in these Mishimoto fans to function well in Houston's humid and hot environment
You would need to know what year you have because I have a 1989 and up I have a 90 Miata and I have to splice in my a/c fan, but my cooling fan is a direct plug 'n play installation. In my opinion, it would be easier for the newer models to have the new plug style, while mine is of the very first generation and it's obsolete.

It turns out the radiator shroud I received was NOT the correct shroud for my radiator when I opened the box. It appears the Mishimoto radiator and shroud in the box I purchased are different. Although the name on the box is correct, it seems the shroud in the box is It was a production issue that Mishimoto identified, and they did not want to send another shroud just to find that it was also the wrong item. They suggested I contact the Amazon seller (MOTOspan), who refunded me. At this point, I had exceeded their 30-day return policy, and they are not willing to help me. Mishimoto and I will continue to work together and I hope they will eventually exchanging the incorrect item for the correct one. Currently, my car has been unable to be driven for a week and I am not happy with it. You should open this item immediately if you purchase it to ensure that it is the one you ordered. Honestly, the radiator and shroud are high quality, so I am not upset with the purchase of Mishimoto products, just a bit upset that one of them is not correct due to no fault of my own. sent me a new fan shroud as soon as I sent my old one back. The problem took them quite some time to fix and they didn't update their stock right away, but they kept in constant contact They are a company I will purchase from again without hesitation.
Don't be fooled by the Japanese name, which I suspect is They are made in China and Mishimoto is a US company that has its headquarters There is a lot of graphic clutter on the box and they appear to spend a large amount of time and It only says Mishimoto on the side and has a tiny serial number plate affixed to the side. In addition to what appears to be a plastic cardboard graphic that is screwed onto the motor, the fans are not labeled and if you flick them with your finger, they make a flapping noise. In addition, the AC fan plug is not the right one for the 1994 Miata, and it appears to be meant for OBDII vehicles, 1996 and later In light of the fact that most Miatas utilize the earlier plug, this is a very poor decision. Along with the shroud, 4 bolts and some foam tape were also included in the box. I would recommend that you buy a cheap, generic chinese fan shroud for half the price and probably made in the same factory but sold out of the back door instead of purchasing this expensive shroud. Don't be fooled into thinking this is top quality Japanese goods like Koyo. Get only china if you must, but don't get that thinking you're getting superior Japanese items.
This Mazda Miata was made in 1990. They fit Mishimoto radiators perfectly, and they come with a low-noise motor. Originally, I attached the main connector to the original connector, but I had to cut the original connector for the AC radiator fan and solder it onto the main connector. A soldering error led to the fan reversing the other way after I soldered on the cable backwards. As soon as I got it hooked up the right way, these things sound pretty sick once they start working.
The installation of this shroud is superior to that of the OEM. As a result, I was able to install it on both my NA and Koyo radiators without having to remove them. The intake tube, the upper radiator hose, and the radiator mounting bolts were removed so I could see where things were. Fluids do not need to be drained. The Miata I drive is a track car I also use on a daily basis. If you sit at a red light in 100+ degrees weather, you will notice that the fan helps keep the engine cool and the AC condenser working. There was only one problem. The fan plug on the condenser was not properly plugged in. I had to splice in a new plug, and make sure that the fan was pointing correctly.
I often find my temperature dropping on days with over 100 degrees and my AC blowing so cold I can cut steel with my fingers.
It is powerful and very powerful. I would prefer it were less expensive, but that is the cost of quality "and amazon markup".
Thank you for this product. However, they keep my temperature cool when I have them installed with the Mishimoto radiator.
Additionally, no instructions are provided on how to connect the condenser fan to the condenser. It has a lot of power and is.
