Selected User Reviews For XtremeAmazing Door Hinge Pins Kit 1988 2002 2 Door 4Pins Bushing Kit for 88-02 Chevy GMC GM Fullsize Truck SUV
I recommend it because it is a good buy and works well. As a result, if you read the other reviews, you'll see that people didn't read the description of the item carefully. Due to the increasing diameter of the head at the end of the door pin, there are two different bushing sizes. Before you remove the old pins, you need to figure out which pin is which. With the door still attached, I was able to replace the bushings and pins without removing the door entirely. Taking the pin out of one hole on the one hinge then pulling out the other pin hinge will make it easier to install the bushings. For overhead doors, you can lean the door back and support it with a board or floor jack. Don't use bushings that are too big or small since this will cause the contact to break. Using a flat head tool to pull the clips and a hammer to remove and replace the pins, I swapped the set on my driver's door in 20 minutes. Remember to stay informed and don't leave an ignorant or uneducated review. No, I do not earn money for my reviews on Amazon. The can do that (I wish they would).
Since I had installed the bushings into the hinge I thought perhaps they would tighten up as they were pressed in, but that was not When I was driving my truck, the bushings were worn out to the point where you had to slam the doors 4 times to keep them from bouncing I had to close it 5 times before I finally got it to open, and with the new bushings I'm That is a waste of time, I guess, and I would rather pay twice as much for the OEM kit.
It wasn't too long ago that these pins were insanely high in price, I could only find 1 pin for more than the kit these days. There was a problem with tracking information, so I was not able to find out what had happened, which could be inconvenient if you are required to be in the room to receive your package. In my case, I had a lock box for packages, so it didn't pose any problems. As it turns out, I purchased these unnecessary items since my pins are fine however, the spring and roller on one of my doors is bent. But I'm going to replace them all at the same time.
The kit is perfect for the 1993 K1500. I could not get this to work on the 2000 K3500. The bushings are too large, (bushings). You should definitely ask a friend for.
Kit with all the components you need to get a good result, but without an Since my glass door was off and the old bushings destroyed, some of the bushings were too big for my 2001 GMC 3500HD, but because they were ruined, I machined them until they fitted. Because I didn't do proper research before buying, I made a mistake.
It works well for the front driver and passenger door hinge pins of a 1998 GMC Yukon.
My recommendation is to give it a try.
