I'm not sure this is the right one for my 2002 BMW X5

A great review would be appreciated for this product! You know how many small plastic parts of that model fall, are broken, or deteriorate if you own (or otherwise take care of) a BMW X5 generation E53 (model years 2000 to 2007). When taking apart the inner door cover often (for example, to service locks, window regulators, etc. ), this door lock rod grommet often breaks. There are vendors on the Internet, including Amazon, that are selling things they claim are original parts, however when the parts are delivered you can tell they are not OEM parts since they have plastic molding whiskers, look very rough, and in no way give the impression of a genuine BMW OEM part. This (currently reviewed) part looks very different and definitely creates the impression of being an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) part. It has a high quality finish, no particles in the clear plastic, very smooth and fine detail finish, just by looking I found it to be very easy to install. Besides fitting perfectly into the door cover opening, it is also strong and durable. By keeping the rod well oriented, but also allowing it to shift freely (up and down), it allows it to operate efficiently. If you were missing or broke one of the most visible parts on your BMW - this part is buried in one of the most visible locations - you would find it difficult to find your car. I have called a few friends of mine who own BMW cars to ask about your parts.

It took longer to open the package than it did to install the part, but it was a good OEM replacement.
There is a little bit of a tight With a sharp knife, I scraped on the inside of the glove a little to make it fit more comfortably. It is pleasing to me.
I really like how this fits in my X5. This is an easy to install product. I've selected Amazon because it was the most affordable place for me, but a bit expensive compared to some other places.
This is a fantastic product that looks just like BMW originals while being a third of the price. I have always had good experiences using.
I think it is very pricey for a small plastic piece, but it is also a very rare item these days. Ensure your opening is not too big or too small. I found the grommet to be fit well, but the knob on my lock rod was too large.
The new replacement works well.
It fits my 06 X5 perfectly.
