As of now, they do not appear to have been installed, so they still need to find a place to put them* however, when they are on the door, they look wide enough

Lowe's is the place to go if you want Since we had some wall space we could better make use of for hanging our JL doors, we purchased these mounts

These mounts are sturdy and feel like they are made out of quality materials. In addition, the instructions were a bit confusing and they only provided anchor bolts that appeared to be concrete. There is a mounting hole every 4” on the body, but the instructions say In what way? My 1 1/2 wide studs were too narrow. To work around this, I purchased a 2x6x15, attached it with lag bolts, and then installed the mounts with lag bolts (sold separately). Furthermore, when it comes to the pads that go on the mounts, they are still not installed, why is that?.

I was horrified at the instructions since the hardware was for concrete, whereas the instructions were for wood. A bracket such as this should only be purchased if you will be hanging a 2x4 plank across the wall or will be putting it into In addition to not applying padding, others have mentioned it as well. At this price, it would be more cost-effective to shop somewhere else since it does not come ready to install. Still, there is no reason why it cannot.

A wall anchor is not something I would trust

You can mount the brackets by finding studs. I know there are lag bolts available, but it would be nice if it came with them. In my opinion, more people would prefer to mount their doors to a hard surface like a stud as opposed to using the wall anchors that came with it. There's a Lowe's on my way.

There is nothing specific about how to use the brackets, so it could be better. The easy part is over. My grade would have been 5 if the directions were clear.
