It is really hard to beat the quality of these doors for the price. Despite their heavy load, they're still light enough to run on the trail (or freeway) at 80 mph, they have little rattle, and they look super In addition to the latch assembly that is sturdy and secure, the mirror assembly also stands up to the test of driving. I installed all four doors in about two hours, including removing my regular doors, following the thorough instructions to the letter. I also popped out the mirror face about a week ago when I shut the door too hard, and a customer service representative was quick to send me a replacement, so I give them a thumbs up for their post-purchase support. They are the kind of doors I'd recommend to anyone without hesitation. (*br >) (PS During installation, if there is any rattling, all you need to do is stick a small piece of felt furniture pad inside the front bar of the JK's lock (where the door will latch on) and wrap a little electrical tape around that bar to stabilize it. I eliminated all rattle with this (which was not bothersome to begin with) and it took a mere five minutes. The factory doors did not get stuck closed during this process.
My husband and I have just attached the new doors to our Jeep. MAN stands for man and machine. It is very clear that the doors are very well made, and the fit of each is about as good as it could be. As a barrier for the dogs who will be riding in the back, we attached a set of 28" x 28" Safari Straps, sized to be a cargo net, from the top of the Jeep to the doors.
Several details need to be added to the directions, which I will do. A great deal of quality is achieved. These directions need a couple of extra hints that I can give you based on my experience The first is the strongest A long bolt is used at the bottom of the door and a shorter bolt at the top, as shown in the figure For the front doors, we use short straps, while our back doors use longer straps. Beautiful look. I love it.
Then when they were marked down to $380ish, I ordered them. I had them saved from when they were $500 or so. Out of the box, they looked great. However, when viewed in light, it appears that the powder coating is very There are several scratches on all but one of the doors out of the box, especially at the cut out areas. decided to re-coat them one day so I assembled them and put them aside for when it stopped raining to put them It's kind of hard to say now that I wish I'd just returned them. There is one door that does not rattle. Only if I adjust the latch so tight that the latch won't engage can they stop rattle. I've made each adjustment possible but they won't stop rattling until I adjust so tight that the latch will not By which I mean just opening the door by nudging it without touching the latch. As this is dangerous, I had to adjust it back to have it latch when fully opened but rattle when fully closed. It would be great if I could get some thick weather stripping to stick to the tube and absorb the rattle, but it won't work on I can't put it on the Jeep side either because it would create a problem with the factory door seals. But that is pretty much all they are good for. My opinion is that the functionality isn't there for the price. In the event that the packaging had not been thrown away, these items would have been returned. The photographs do look good, but they are a shame. Due to this, I will reconsider the EAG clone of the XRC front bumper as well as the rear bumper I was looking at.
The doors were packaged nicely and shipped quickly. Installation instructions were not very clear, but I was able to complete all 4 in a couple hours. Long install really came down to my having to adjust or modify the doors so they wouldn't A piece of weather stripping was needed to secure the front doors, and shims were required to stop them from rattling. In order to remove the Jeep latch from both back doors, I had to remove lock washers from the Adjustments were made to the rear doors but was not able to loosen the doors. Mirrors are a nice addition to the room. However, the driver's side mirror will not adjust far enough out to give a clear view similar to what is normally available from stock mirrors. He still thinks it's a great purchase for the money since the product is rather cheap. I would have liked the option of having mounting bolts also powder coated black instead of stainless as well.
The decision I made was a great one! There are two halves You are so lucky to have doors! Jeepers often compliment me and look at me when I drive. It is very simple to assemble and install and its construction is very study. When not in use, they hang on my ARC off road door hanger brackets so that they are always stored out of sight. The product I purchased was exactly what I wanted. Excellent door. I highly recommend them.
It's not a simple task to follow these instructions. Our door pins for the regular doors broke off about a few weeks after we bought the vehicle. We took the doors down to put the regular doors back on and one of the pins sent them an email asking for a replacement and we didn't hear back. We asked for a return and were denied due to the fact that we were not within their return are clearly only concerned about money and do not care about I don't consider myself to be a rocker or anything, but we do love east trails and we have kids. There was just one trail to take the whole time, and I am just glad it didn't break when my daughters were As for the trail itself, it was relatively easy with just a few bumps. I wish you luck if you decide to buy them. It is probably best to keep them on display.
This was a great choice, I'm glad I made it! I really like this price! In addition to the hinges and rock rails I had already enhanced with black textured paint, these really look great. These products look exactly like the ones There are some shortcomings with the directions (mine didn't mention the door straps at all) but with just a little trial and error they're easily doable. For the front doors, the straps are shorter compared to the rear doors. For the latches, some adjusting will be required. I got them nice and tight after a few tweaks with no rattles, thanks to the fact that they are adjustable. This is definitely worth checking out!.
