It was relatively simple to install, and my sliding door now glides smoothly and quietly. The factory rollers had broken, causing the door to bind when opening and closing, but it now works flawlessly! They're a little greasy/oily, so wear gloves when opening the package and installing them (I'm not sure what kind of grease/oil they use). br>br>Because there were no instructions, I decided to watch a few YouTube videos to ensure I could complete the task. It took me about 20 minutes to do one door (the other door still works with the factory rollers, so I'm waiting until it fails to install the new one). You can completely do this yourself if you have phillips and flathead screwdrivers, a ratchet with various sized sockets, a hammer, and pliers. The local repair shop wanted $100 per door, but it only cost me $15.
Because the van has nearly 200k miles, I chose the less expensive version over OEM. Even if they didn't last as long as OEM, I figured they'd last longer than the van! They do, however, appear to be as well-made as the original hinges. There are a lot of good YouTube videos that show you how to replace something. I finished each side in under an hour.
Purchased in February of this year. Since installation, the vehicle has covered about 3000 miles. br>br>The door started having issues again about two weeks ago. br>br>I realize this is not a mileage-based part, but it does help gauge the part's life. br>br> I re-lubed after cleaning all of the guides. It made a minor difference. It abruptly ceased to function today. When I dismantled the door, I discovered that one of the rollers had been broken in half and was deformed. The second roller has a kink in it. This part was cheap for a reason. br>br>It's flattening on one side. br>br> Choose an OEM part; you'll get a better product for $30 more.
The ease with which it was installed pleasantly surprised me. My Odyssey's sliding doors were both broken, and I could only get them open with difficulty. The cost of repairing them was estimated at $1000. I fixed both doors in about 2 hours with the help of my father, saving hundreds of dollars.
I was initially disappointed because I assumed it would be a significant expense, but this solved the issue! We installed them ourselves, and our door now appears to be as good as new. All you need are a few tools and a YouTube tutorial to get started. If you have a lag or choppy door, it's worth purchasing to replace.
My wife had recently purchased an 08 Honda Oddesey ex, and the passenger sliding door had been hanging up about every other time we opened it. So we started looking for replacement parts at local auto parts stores, and they were charging double or more for one side compared to what this was charging for both sides, so we bought these and I installed them in just over an hour. The product appears to be oem.
As expected, it functions properly. It was an exact match. On my 2006 Odyssey, there were no issues installing it. It is necessary to be able to remove the body panel covering track and support the door while doing so. Because hinges are slotted and used to adjust the door in the opening, mark their location before removing them in some way. To reveal panel fasteners, the taillight must be removed. The slotted mount that is attached to the door is not included. To change, remove the hinge pin from the bench.
For a third of what I paid for one five or six years ago, I got both sides! After watching a YouTube video, it was simple to install, and the doors now open and close smoothly. Honda Odyssey EX-L 2007 Honda Odyssey EX-L 2007 Honda Odyssey EX-.
