I followed all instructions and installed it according to the directions. It appears that a flaw in the design or manufacturing of the product only allows about 1/8 inch of the tape to contact the vehicle, whereas the item has at least 1/3 inch of tape over it. Depending on the contour of the vehicle, the contact area is about 1/8 inch, which results in less secure installation. I drove about 60 miles up an expressway and it was flapping. Most of the tape did not touch the vehicle, so it was easily peeled off. Clean up was a bit messy since I had to stand up through the open sunroof and remove the 3M tape remaining after removing the broken guard. I used a razor blade and a little goo gone along with my thumbnail to get as much as I could up. After that, There were still thin traces of the original guard tape in the shaved area, but that was enough to stick new guard. Standing through the sunroof, with one foot on each front seat, I removed the red plastic tape from the 3M tape on the new guard and applied it evenly as carefully as I could. The guard can still be maneuvered until you are assured that it is in the proper spot if it is lightly set down. Once you are ready, pushing down on the guard edge and holding it all the way along the edges is recommended. I like how well it sticks! I was surprised to not find instructions or alcohol pads included with the package!.

Goes beyond the inner edge but not into it. Additionally, the notification that said "this fits your vehicle" was wrong. A Chevy Tahoe LTZ cannot be fitted with this product because the mesh wind deflector built in will not be able to operate. If you tape it on the roof, it looks cheap.

It was a waste of money. I cleaned the car area thoroughly and made sure it was ready for the tape to be put on the visor and made sure it was sticking properly and even pulled it off after a few minutes. The next day, as I was driving on the freeway (65 miles per hour), it flew out of my car I was lucky that it didn't hit any cars behind me, but I heard somebody ran it over. Spending too much money is a waste. It is a total disappointment for me.
