They were going to be the first car we got for our daughter because she is 4'10". There is no point in following the instructions. Her comfort was a problem when they were on and off for 10 minutes before we got them to sit well. These would go on an older vehicle with limited seat, pedal, and steering wheel adjustments, resulting in a fun experience lying underneath the wheel, in front of the seat, using both hands to adjust, etc. It was a difficult task to say the least, but we managed it. It was incredibly easy to break the pedal one and it is solid. Gas pedals were the hardest to use, and I find it a little bizarre how all the parts have to work together in order that it should be reliable. To extend the reach of my clutch pedal, I purchased these extenders. Currently, I drive a Toyota FJ Cruiser. I am five feet six inches tall and was seven months pregnant. My pregnant belly had to rest on the steering wheel to reach the clutch (the gas and brake pedals were easily accessible regardless of the position of the seat). When the seat is pushed back to its maximum, I can easily reach the gas and brake. I wasn't having any issues assembling the brake extender or understanding what adjustments might need to be made (it accommodates extensions ranging I imagine the gas pedal extender will be a difficult task, as there are several more parts to be acquired. In fact, the installation was the only problem we encountered, but we were able to overcome it. With the clutch arm angled downward to the pedal corner, there was only about half an inch of pedal on top of the extender to secure to. The clutch arm also protruded forward about half an inch when it was secured to The procedure required my dad to assist me (he isn't limber at 6 months pregnant) in squatting down and attaching, but he succeeded in the end. As of now, I have about 6 inches of space between my 8-month pregnant belly and the steering wheel, and all of the pedals are easily accessible, and the extended foot rest is still intact.
