Questions & Answers

A lot of the reviews are 5 stars. It fits a truck without a cold weather package, according to the description. According to what I've read, the majority of people are 7. Is there a cold weather package for 3's?

The cold weather package (CWP) for the 7. is not indicated by the engine heater. The 120V engine block heater is standard on all diesel engines, both with and without CWP. This heater appears to be exclusive to gas engines with CWP, which is why I'm confused. I have an F250 7 of my own. Without the CWP, number 3 was sold in Maryland. br>The CWP belt is a fraction of an inch shorter than the non-CWP belt. CWP, unless you have one of each side-by-side, it's impossible to tell them apart without P/N. Both sides will fit the non-smoker physically. I'm not sure about CWP trucks, so I can't say for sure. I had previously installed a shorter CWP belt by accident and discovered that I needed to wind the tensioner nearly to the maximum setting to get it installed. This, I assumed, was due to the newness of the belt. This belt snapped before it was supposed to (coincidence?). In any case, I've been using the slightly longer non-standard non-standard non-standard non-standard non-standard non-standard non-standard Since then, I've had no problems with my CWP belt. I've never seen any data to back up the claim that "most trucks have the CWP." That was not the case with mine, which was sourced from a mid-sized business. a location that is slightly north of south According to Gates, P/N K081223HD is a non-stretch belt. Application for the CWP (i.e. a slightly longer version).

What exactly does the "cold weather package" imply? Thanks?

Beats me! What brought you to this place? how did you come up with such a question? A "cold weather package" on a diesel, I can only assume, is a "engine block heater," which is usually 110 volts.

Is the color of the belt green?

Green outer layer on a black belt.

What is the difference between the k081223hd and non-hd versions? thanks?

Not 100% on this, but I had the regular belt and it started squeeking like crazy like crazy like crazy like crazy like crazy like crazy like crazy like crazy like crazy The HD has a green color scheme and is completely silent. I'm sure there's a significant distinction between them that I'm unaware of. When I have the option, I try to use Gates belts, and the HD is what the forums recommend.

Within 15K miles, it was snapped
5/5

On my 2001 F250 7, it's been installed. 3 in March 2019 with 230K miles on the clock. It snapped 15K miles later while cruising down the highway yesterday. There are no problems with faulty components that could cause a belt to break (water pump, alternator, A/C, etc. ). Fortunately, I had my old backup belt; unfortunately, the bad belt tore my radiator hose, causing me to lose all of my coolant. After reading the many positive reviews, I decided to purchase this belt. Oh well - I'm not sure I'll get another one. EDIT: br>br> After breaking another belt, I realized the problem isn't with the belt itself, but with the belt tensioner. As a result, my previous one-star review should be removed because the belt was not to blame.

This is number one
5/5

So, after doing a lot of research on the "cold weather package," I discovered that this is the correct belt for my 2000 Ford F350 7. 3 diesel. Although there were two belts listed, this was the correct one. My belt tensioner now travels in the middle of its range after installation. The squeak is no longer audible! The only drawback is that the green color is already fading, but that's not a deal breaker for me.

No more squeaky belts! 3br>br> br>br>While I was there, I installed the upper rad hose, which places the hose behind the belt, allowing me to change the belt without having to open the coolant system. It appeared to be fantastic
5/5

It was very simple to set up. It took about 20 minutes to install after watching a video on YouTube, and it has been running for about 4000 miles with no issues. After a few miles, the green outside begins to fade. I'm hoping it lasts as long as the original did, which was 115000 miles.

The green on the belt has worn off after a few thousand miles
5/5

It appears to be a high-quality belt, and it fits perfectly on my 7-inch waist. 3 F350 dually models from the year 2000 TIP: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "innovative" and "paraphrase. " To take off or put on the belt, do not wrap it around the fan. While installing the belt, I found it helpful to have someone else hold the other end in place. I also replaced the top idler pulley, which was loose.

For the FORD SuperDuty, there is nothing better
5/5

This belt is the best of the best. If you have a SuperDuty, you won't find a better product at a better price; this is the belt for you! On my 2001 7, I installed one. My 2002 Ford F350 with a 3. 0L engine and a 3. 0L engine. 3L F250. I have 100% confidence that these belts will last a VERY long time. If you are looking to replace your belt, OR carry a spare, DO IT!.

Belt that can be directly replaced - The color green is very nice
5/5

I finally got rid of my old belt and replaced it with this one. At the same time, I redid the entire cooling system, including installing the longer upper radiator hose, which will make future belt swaps much easier because the radiator hose will not need to be removed.
