This belt is designed to fit the EJ25 2. Subaru 5L SOHC engine, which I installed in my 2005 Forester X and which performed admirably.
This is for the compressor in the air conditioning system.
It would be nice if you said what car this was going to be used on next time. K040353 can be used on a 2004 Subaru Air Conditioning dive belt. One size belt could fit a hundred cars and be used to power a thousand different machines. To obtain the proper belt for your vehicle, contact a store.
Beware! If you read my review, you'll notice that I ordered this belt along with the other two belts for my 2001 CR-V. V, as well as the Honda mechanic at the dealership who was only going to charge me for the installation when I had my timing belt replaced. Last year, after having a water pump installed, I discovered that all three belts I ordered from Amazon were incorrect! The problem was that he'd already taken everything apart, so I didn't have much of a choice. I had to go to the dealer and get the proper belts! I was furious with Amazon, and my review reflected that. Despite this, Amazon hasn't corrected the error in this part's "compatibility" listing!? Not cool! I even complained to them over the phone, and they promised to look into it. They haven't done anything since that happened about a year ago! BEWARE! This will not fit the CR-V from 1997 to 2001. However, it appears that it will fit certain Subaru models; my recommendation is to visit the manufacturer's (Gates) website. Look it up there, then go to Amazon and search for the correct part number. Alternatively, call Bill Gates and inform him of Amazon's error. Best of luck!

This belt is a replacement for my a/c belt, which I had left on my car for nearly three years due to my own negligence. Although the old belt (which was a Gates belt) was still in good working order, I change my belt and hoses once a year. It's nice to know that I can rely on Gates if I have to leave a belt or hose alone for an extended period of time!.
In the AC position on my 2004 Subaru Forester NA, it fits perfectly. Made in Mexico is stamped on the back. Consider replacing the idler pulley at the same time as the belt if your car has a lot of miles on it.
It was tense for a while. On a Subaru Forester from the year 2001. It was stiff for a new belt, and it was a little long, so I had to adjust it near the end.
Reliability, quality, and installation simplicity are all important factors. They are reasonably priced and well worth your money.
For my 2006 Subaru WRX TR, I used this to replace one of the two serpentine belts. So far, there have been no issues with the fit.
Great price for a high-quality part, and I always buy gates in stores! Why not make a financial savings?.
A three-star rating for longevity is due to the fact that only time will tell how long something will last.
I haven't used this item yet, but I have previously purchased gates belts and found them to be excellent products.
