Questions & Answers

This is a gatorback belt, which was previously known as the elite series. ?

Years ago, Goodyear ceased production of the "gatorback" belt. It's still called "Gatorback," but don't make the same mistake I did and assume it's a genuine gatorback belt.

For my 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 6, which belt do I need? a total of six duramax ?

The Continental Elite 4061195 appears to be the right fit for your truck.

Is this belt compatible with a Hummer H3 from 2007?

It's designed for a five-star rating. I don't think it'll fit in your hummer with a 3 Chevy engine. It is designed to fit a GMC Yukon 5 model from the year 2001. 3 I purchased it for this purpose.

One of the best belts you can buy, if not the best
5/5

To begin, the Continental Elite Poly V Belt with Quiet Channel Technology will be labeled. For some reason, Goodyear must have decided that a different marketing strategy would be more effective. The belt appears to be identical to my Gatorback belts from previous purchases in every way except for the labeling. Second, this is for the 5. (the part number is the same)br>br>Second, this is for the 5. The 145 Amp alternator is found in three GM engines and trucks. If you're doing an electric fan conversion to an 05-series truck, this is the belt you'll need. up fan, and originally had a 105 amp alternator, which we have since replaced with a 145 amp alternator. The length is 93", but I think a 93 would look better. A 25 or even a 93 is not out of the question. My tensioner is still close to the limit of how far it can go while still allowing the belt to slide on to the idler pulley with a 5" belt. Hopefully, the belt will be able to stretch a little. br>br>My truck has 195,000 miles on it now, and I've been using Goodyear Gatorback belts since I first replaced them at 100,000 miles. I've gone through two of them now, having replaced them at around 150,000 and 190,000 miles while performing other routine maintenance. The belts did not show any signs of cracking or wear at the time of replacement, aside from the printing wearing off the back side, and I only changed the belt from the one I installed 5,000 miles ago because I installed the 145 amp alternator and removed the original 105 amp alternator. There will be no squeals or squeaks at any time!.

I also prefer this style of belt because it is of higher quality than the Dayco I previously owned
5/5

Nothing irritates you more than a chirping or squealing belt. I tried every belt I could find at Autozone, O'Reilly's, and Advance Auto Parts, and some of them worked for a short time before the dreaded noise reappeared. It should be noted that this was for a 2001 Chevy Tahoe LS v8. I know how to diagnose a belt problem, so I double-checked all of my pulleys, replaced the fan clutch, water pump, and tensioners, but there was still no relief. I'm sure it's something else if the sound persists. Something a little bit darker. I ordered this belt, and since I put it on, there has been no more noise; it hasn't come back since February, and I've waited until now to write this review because it usually comes back after a while. Nothing with this belt, though I will say that I prefer this type of belt to the Dayco I previously owned because it is of higher quality. That Dayco ran quietly at first, but then began to make noise. br>This belt is a good one.

Fits 4
5/5

8, 5. 3, 6. There are no truck engines. My ls swapped truck has been running on the same serpentine belt it had when I got it out of the junkyard, so I figured the recent squeaking meant it was time for a replacement. I really like the gatorback belts, and they go well with all of the stock accessories.

Great product, excellent quality, simple installation, and most importantly, it finally silenced the squeal
5/5

So I have a H2 Hummer that started squealing a few years ago, and I replaced the serpentine belt with a brand new OEM quality belt, which fixed the problem for about a week or two before it started making a loud squeal again, mostly when it's cold, but also at other times. So after a lot of research, I decided to order a gatorback serpentine belt, gatorback idler pulley, and gatorback tensioner pulley for a complete belt system rebuild. So they arrived quickly, and I popped the hood and got to work; they'll eyes are simple to install and remove without the use of a press or pulley puller; there are also plates on the factory pulleys that don't fit the new pulleys, but they're not required, so it's not a major issue; there are also plates on the factory pulleys that don't fit the new pulleys, but they're not required, so it The squeal hasn't returned since the pulleys and serpentine belt were replaced, so everything is fine so far. It's nice not to hear a loud squeal every time we start the vehicle. br>br>BC.

Superior quality - My squeal has faded into the background
5/5

My application is for a Chevrolet Silverado 5 from 2005. The engine is a 3L V8 with a 145A alternator. When I reached 70000 miles, I began to hear a squeal that corresponded to my engine RPM. I was worried that my water pump bearings were failing, but then I remembered - Let's start with the belts, which are nearly ten years old and in desperate need of replacement. So, that's the end of my squeals. This belt is simple to put on and appears to be of high quality. Make sure you have a 145A alternator instead of a 105A on your Silverado. It should be stamped on the side, but it may require the use of a flashlight to see. You can also look it up using the glovebox code, which I almost missed on mine. Anyway, so far, it's been a great belt, and I'd buy it again, but at this point, I'm hoping it lasts longer than the truck.

This is a fantastic belt
5/5

I don't think my 1998 Buick will be. This is a fantastic belt. Although I didn't expect my 1998 Buick to be completely silent, the belt's constant squeak drove me insane. I tried every quick fix and mechanic trick they suggested, but none of it worked. Despite the fact that it cost twice as much as the previous belt, this was an excellent buy. The squeak is completely gone now, and it could just be the reduced stress, but the engine seems to be more responsive as well. On a scale of one to ten, I'll be buying Continental belts in the future.

Tossing parts at it, the vehicle now has a new idler pulley and tensioner assembly, which looked a little worse for wear anyway
5/5

2002 5. Three Chevrolet Tahoes with 231k miles had a belt squeak that began a few weeks after a new belt was installed and progressed to a full-fledged squeal a week later. The dayco belts from autozone were replaced several times under warranty with the same results. Tossing parts at it a little, the vehicle now has a new idler pulley and tensioner assembly that looked a little worse for wear anyway. br>br>I'm going to try a gatorback belt and see how it goes.

For a 2005 Yukon Denali XL 6, it worked perfectly
5/5

0 liter - There aren't any squeaks in this house. I watched a YouTube video on how to fix a chevy truck that was squealing. After watching, I used the water method to test my truck, and the presenter recommended this brand, which I now believe. My squeaks vanished with the new belt, which I adore.
