It was a bad part.
To get this to fit the '95 Lexus SC400, a small amount of modification is required under the timing belt cover to transform the rim into the proper fitment. If you pay *$40 for the Lexus part instead of $200, will it be worth it in the long run (we will see). You can use it as a replacement part, otherwise it is fine, but keep in mind you may get an error message.
It worked exactly like it was.
This shield was too large for the tensioner and would not fit properly over the timing belt. In a second review, the reviewer modified the shield so that it fit the timing belt, but doing so damaged the seal and allowed moisture and dirt into the.
Compared to the Lexus OEM one, I saved a bunch of money.
It was not what it claimed, so I would recommend not wasting your time and money on it.
