Tuned up my 03 Chevy Tahoe and it now runs like a charm. We were able to purchase belts, tensioners, wires, plugs, etc. This was in comparison to the Delcos and plugs not in stock. I purchased this one (main engine belt tensioner) because the reviews were good and it worked well for me. A second ac belt tensioner is also available. The two fit perfectly, both are quiet (the stock ones had 220k on them), and they seem to hold up really well So far I've had no issues.
Installation took 10 minutes and I've had no problems. Generally 3 15mm bolts are required. . . . Still, it seems. There are several things I like about heavy looking parts & that has a stout feeling to it There is a lighter feeling to these than with AC Delco originals. Although they are built differently, they will do their jobs just fine, maybe cheaper, maybe better, I'm not sure, but the weight of them caught my attention when I held them in my hands. Once they put some miles on them, I can My preference is to use original equipment parts whenever possible. However, I could not wait for Delco parts to become available. My best guess is that there will be no issue if the other reviews are the same.
Gates is a good OEM supplier. On my fourth car, I have accumulated 100k miles. A 2005 Chevy 8 liter. The tensioner assembly did not truly need to be replaced, but I decided to do so due to its age and mileage. Gates' products have always been my choice and I can stand by them with confidence as I have a mechanical background of over 20 years. Part was perfect for my application and functioned perfectly. I had no issues with it. It was simple If you replace a belt, make sure these items are checked.
A new product that arrived quickly. Like the original, it looks just like that. When tightening the bolts, be extremely careful because the aluminum will crack very easily. As a result, the original was destroyed. found using a chisel to rotate the fan off to be the key to making this a simple project. Getting things looseened enough to receive the belt was a challenge since I had never done it before, but it came together easily once I put it together. For more than a year it has been going smoothly.
It would be my pleasure to update my review if the seller or manufacturer wants to replace it.
My 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe 5 can use it. It won't be an issue. So far, it seems to be working well. It has been about a month since I last logged in.
My price was a great deal, and the product was a perfect replacement for my factory part.
The program performs as expected. In the event I cannot buy OEM components, I turn to Gates instead.
V8 engine with a 3L displacement. Installation was simple. It is just a matter of removing the three bolts that hold the old one to the block, and installing the new one. It may be necessary to remove some of the intake plumbing if this gets in the way. Since my aluminum block is somewhat brittle, I put some blue Loctite on the bolts to prevent them from slipping. According to my observation, the original one that came with the engine is the same as this one. There are no differences even between the casting lines.
